Extremely custom mailbox locations
I'm in the position where I'd like to offer IMAP access
to a collection of email accounts which are stored in
a very odd manner.
Files are stored as:
/blah/$dd-$mm-$yy/$domain/1234/1234
For example:
/reject/12-3-2009/cvsrepository.org/35199/35199639
There is a single file for each mail, which I guess technically
probably counts as an mbox folder, but only just.

updated rpmstrap script
hello,
I just upgraded the rpmstrap script for CentOS 4.2. As I don't have any
x86_64 machines I just upgraded the i386 section. Some of the version
numbers are changed and there were some new package requirements.
The file is attached. Overwrite the original file under
/usr/lib/rpmstrap/scripts and itt will work again.
Bye,

rpmstrap & CentOS 4, feedback requested
Hi everyone,
I've been working on a tool similar to debootstrap but designed to work
with RPM-based distributions. The intent of such a tool is to be able to
bootstrap a basic working RPM-based system (I use it primarily for
creating chroots for cross-distro development and testing, but it could
also be used for simple installs or even upgrade and dep-closure tests).
It's called

rpmstrap/rpmbootstrap to boostrap CentOS 5
Hi,
Is there any working script, similar to deboostrap, for CentOS 5?
I have found rpmstrap [1] at RPMforge.. but only works for CentOS-4, and
appears that's out of date.
thanks!

Can't delete read-only files on Linux
Hi,
I am mounting an NT share from a linux(RH6.0) box using smbmount (samba
v2.05a).
smbmount //machine/cvsrepository /home/user/cvsrepository -U user
I am trying to delete a read-only file in the mounted directory. The directory
has proper write permissions:
cd /home/user/cvsrepository
mkdir blah
cd blah
chmod +w .
touch test
chmod -w test
rm test
rm: remove write-protected file `test'? y

We don't have Debian packages for LLVM 1.5, but we do have a
pre-compiled GCC frontend for i386/Linux. Does that not work on Debian?

[LLVMdev] TTA-based Co-design Environment (TCE) v1.5 released

application-specific processors based on the Transport Triggered
Architecture (TTA). The toolset provides a complete retargetable co-design

Calysto v1.5 reports on ssh v4.6p1
New version of Calysto reports a warning that looks like a bug to me:
------------------------------------------
Possible NULL-ptr deref (vc27053):
@/work/projects/llvm/tools/Calysto/IfaceSpecs/clib.c:1823
Bug: ??
Explanation:
choose_dh (dh.c:111) calls fopen twice (@120). If the first call to
fopen fails (returns NULL), but the second one succeeds, fgets (@129) is
called with f==NULL.

Bug fixes for 1.4 should be uploaded today or tomorrow; 1.4
has to get uploaded first in order to fix some outstanding
bugs.

Choppiness in FF v1.5
Hey all,
I''ve got an interesting one for anyone who''s up for a challenge.
Essentially, I have a very choppy effect, that almost looks like
timeouts are overloaded or interfering or something, that only occurs
when sortables are on the same page as "standard" effects. Here''s what
I''m doing:
I have a menu that slides in and out on the right side of

Fedora, SuSE, Gentoo, Slackware as domU
Hi.
I need to use some other distributions other than Debian as a Xen domU.
These distributions are:
- Fedora Core 7
- Opensuse 10.2
- Gentoo 2007.0
- Slackware 11.0
- Ubuntu 6.06.1 Server
- Ubuntu 7.04 Server
- Centos 5.0
- Mandriva 2007
Could you tell me a way to install it as domU, please?
I searched for rpmstrap, but it supports only Fedora Core 4 and Centos 4...
Could you help me, please?

Backing up "live" Xen systems?
I''ve been testing Xen for a few weeks now and am just about to
put it into production use. (I wrote some scripts to create
Debian images easily; the tools are included in Debian Sid as
"xen-tools".)
The only thing troubling me at the moment is backing up the
virtual instances.
I''m looking to run about four virtual systems upon a host. If

Centos 5.1 DomU on Debian Etch Dom0
Hi Centos users
I successfully installed a Centos 5.1 DomU on Debian Etch Dom0. I used
the virtual file systems from Jailtime[0]
How to this manual (without using Jailtime)? I wish to install from
Scratch. Xen-tools/rpmstrap doesn't work for me.
cheers

Good md5sum snapshot tool?
I have a server that is undergoing some patching soon and would like
to make note of any files that have changed after the patching is
complete. Can you recommend a tool that uses md5sum snapshots to do a
quick before and after test, showing anything that's changed on a
particular file system?
