Session cookies not passed on first redirect
Hello Campers!
Is it just me or does Camping init the session twice on a redirect?
If I have an app and when the user visits it for the first time, a
session is generated. Afterwards I redirect the user in a service
(that basically does auth) and he gets bounced to the login page -
but when I arrive at the login page my SID somehow has changed :-( so
there is a stale session dangling

For what reason the "official" Wine does not support USB ?
Hello
A lot of windows application need access to an USB port.
For Wine a library (or a patch) exists to manage that but it is not include in the "official" release.
If we want to work with this USB port, we have to compile a personal version of Wine, but this is not really obvious for every body.
Why this feature is not include in the release ?
Do you plan an official release with

Dawn of War trouble and other questions
Hi:
I'm a relative noob to Wine, and I'm having a little trouble getting Dawn of War (regular, plus Winter Assault) to run under Debian Lenny. When I try to install it, it always tries to install automatically to the c: drive, which I don't want to do because I don't have enough space (running on a laptop).
I do, however, have a USB external drive, which I'd like it to load

Single Sign-on for UI development (Re: Samba-tool --simple-bind-dn?)
I'm going to rephrase my question
Are any of you using any time of single signon technology to interact with
active directory in a development project? I'd like to be able to grab
the authentication with a user first authenticates as a domain admin via,
say Apache, and then re-use this auth to give this admin a list of domian
user.
Not sure of the best approach.

file(1) support for Ogg and Ogg/Vorbis
Hi all,
While I was busy sorting out my music collection, I discovered that
file(1) had no Ogg/Vorbis (or Ogg/* for that matter) support yet. Is
there anyone working on support for this or am I using an outdated
version of file(1) ? file(1) has extensive MP3 support. Compare the
following :
$ file */*.ogg | grep 01
Busta Rhymes - Genesis/01 Intro.ogg: data

Logging Login Attempts
I have passwords turned off, and require keys to match. The zombie armies swarming outside are trying brute force attacks that in part involve guessing login NAMES. If they guess the wrong NAME, this is logged in syslog. If they guess a working user name, then the attack has PARTIALLY SUCCEEDED, but this information is IGNORED. That is, it is not logged. If the zombie army has tell when it

Natural vs National in R signon banner?
The R signon banner includes this statement:
Natural language support but running in an English locale
Should that not say 'National' instead of 'Natural'?
Meaning that LOCALE support is enabled, not that the interface understands
human language?
Please ignore this and forgive me if this is an inappropriate post. I am a

Re: Error: Migration not permitted with assigned PCIdevice
We use Digi Serial-over-IP devices to pass through serial ports to domUs. We''ve had success with the Digi One SP, PortServer TS, and Passport devices. I currently use the Passport 48 for IP access to all of my serial consoles (Ethernet switches, RAID arrays, FC switches, etc.) as well as to pass through a modem to my HylaFAX server, which is in a Xen domU.

MSN Messenger 4.7 vs 5.0
Hi.
This is perhaps a little bit off-topic here, but I couldn't
find informations elsewhere, so perhaps someone can help me:
I've been using Messenger 4.7 for a while on my W2k Laptop
to place SIP-Calls via asterisk with messengers
"communications service" feature. Works fine.
Then I thought that it would be a good idea to do an upgrade
to v5.0... (yes, never touch a running

Dear all,
I am happy to accept that

But I'm having difficulty with this one:

especially since:

Although I know that this is a precision issue since

function for running MS-DOS on R
I had downloaded the program that runs on MS-DOS.
Is it possible for MS-DOS to be run in R such as WinBugs1.4?
I wonder whether there is the R function for running MS-DOS from R such as
the 'bug.r' function to make Winbugs practicable in R.
I had heard Rterm.exe that runs on MS-DOS.
However, What I need is to run MS-DOS in R but to run R in MS-DOS.

SAMBA + LDAP Single Signon Achieved
Hello all!!
I have partially achieved full single-signon, synched passwords with
Samba 2.2.5 and OpenLDAP 2.0.25 on Mandrake 8.2.
I can change my PDC password from a Win2K box and it synchs the
Linux/Unix/LDAP password correctly. I can change my password from Linux
using 'passwd' and it synchs the PDC password.
Samba is the PDC, and uses LDAP as the smbpasswd backend.
This all works

Account Lockout (Repost)
Hi all,
My boss is still questioning me for an answer. I've searched thru this
archive thru the beginning of the year as well as searched thru Google, but
still haven't found the answer to the this question..
Is there a way in Samba to automatically disable/lockout an account if the
user has tried to signon more than a set number incorrectly?
As an example: if JDOE tries to sign into
