VM boots BUT keep throwing: "INIT: Id "X" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes"
Hi, This is my setting: I have a Logical Volume /dev/VG/suse with Suse installed. I have added it to the grub and I can boot it and works perfectly fine. Now I am running /dev/VG/root which is running Xen0. I have created a Xen config file to boot a VM with disk: /dev/VG/suse. In other words I want to boot /dev/VG/suse as a virtual machine. Below is what I am getting at boot time :

ping out of domU OK ping in to domU not OK
I''ve setup Xen 3.0.2-2 (binary install) on Ubuntu 6.06, got my domUs up and running, got them connected to the Internet but I can''t even ping to any of these VMs. Now I''m not linux/xen genious but could the problem be that xen-br0 doesn''t have an IPv4 address? (it''s got an IPv6 address) Since I don''t use IPv6 on my network this seems a

Centos and xen network bridge issue
Hi All, We have a single Centos 5.11 server running a xen hypervisor that went down hard after an extended power outage this weekend. I'm mostly familiar for KVM as that is the majority of what our guests run under and have tried getting up to speed on xen bridging to no avail. The problem is that after the xen server spun back up, the previously defined xen bridges were lost. I've

I have a SOHO server (Debian testing) that I''m using for several purposes so I''ve set up a Xen

[Bridge] Little problem with 1.x versions (if_indextoname)
Hi, I have used bridge-utils 0.9.6 so far in a kernel 2.4.26, uClibc and ppc environment. When I use version 1.0.3 I have the problem that I do not see the brige with the 'brctl show' command if it is not fully set up. It was working with 0.9.6. I tracked the problem down to an 'incompatibility' in bridge/uClibc/kernel. 0.9.6 uses its own if_indextoname function which uses the

About two IFs with the same IP and the multipath
Hi there, I''m trying to achieve the classic load balancing using the multipath. The gateways are: A (tunl0) and B (tunl1) This is the classical situation covered by the HOWTO: one computer with two Internet connections. The problems come when I try to use the same IPs for both A and B. So A is 10.229.25.8 and B 10.229.25.8. I cannot do otherwise, I''m forced to use the

ifs estimator
Hy all, I have written a small library that provide a new distribution function estimator based on IFS (that are essentially fractals). I would be pleased if any of you can build hte library for Unix-type machines and Windows implementations with the included makefiles as a Mac library is already working. As I'm not able to test these platforms any modification to makefiles is welcome.

Ifs in formula
Dear r-helpers, This might be an elementary question, but I have a hard time getting my head around it, so all help is much appreciated. I am working on a nonlinear regression model of the form if z > 0 y = f1(x,y), else y = f2(x,t) . In other words, the functional form of f(.) changes according to some criteria z. Natural approach would be to fit two models, i.e. model1 <- nlm(y ~ ...,

Time Based Goto Ifs Act Strange?
Hi, I'm still in the process of debugging this, but I have a gotoif statement that looks like this: exten => 26,1,GotoIfTime(7:00-18:00|mon-fri|*|*?ext-queues,210,1) exten => 26,n,Goto(ext-local,${VM_PREFIX}127,1) I have others setup the same way that also seem to have the same 'issue'. The issue is that they work, but they seem to require (and I don't understand why) a

Hello I''ve been messing with traffic controlling for some time and encountered singularities I''d like to talk about. First explaining of my pow (can''t tell how much each point is relevant) Box with Debian, Intel PII*2 old and fancy:), ADSL link with dyn IP, some servers (f. ex. squid), loc net with dhcp, (although IP statically given by MAC); MASQ.
