Plugin Panic! - no accessing a model''s class methods?
Hi plugin-authors. So this is a little bit of take two on this question, but why can''t I access a singleton on the model calling my plugin? The crux of the full plugin below is: #logger.info self.class.to_s new_copy = self.class.new( @copyable_attributes ) the logger spits out "Datatype", but I get an error from rails saying: undefined method `datatype'' for

schema dump corrupts date defaults in mysql
Hey, looks pretty messy out here the last two days...so please let me know if this is known, or if you can confirm. Just upped to Rails 1.1. Why do plugins use class_eval?
I''m writing my own plugin and all the plugins I''ve seen use class_eval in the method that is called in the including module. For example: http://wiki.rubyonrails.com/rails/pages/HowToWriteAnActsAsFoxPlugin module Foo module Acts #:nodoc: module Fox #:nodoc: def self.included(base) base.extend(ClassMethods) end # declare the class level

Hello, I have a problem. One every couple of months my asterisk system crashes with a segmentation fault. kernel: asterisk[20527]: segfault at 0000080000000008 rip 00002aaac952d8f2 rsp 0000000040edb910 error 4 (This is in /var/log/messages) If I look at the same timestamp in the warning log file of asterisk (/var/log/asterisk/warning), I see that the are warning about fix up channel:

Martin, I agree with you that +0 and -0 should generally be treated as equal, and R does a fine job in this respect. The Wikipedia article on signed zero (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Signed_zero) echoes this view but also highlights that +0 and -0 can be treated differently in particular situations, including their interpretation as mathematical limits (as in the 1/-0 case). Indeed, the main

Migrating NT files (with users/groups) to Linux Samba with ACL kernel patch.
Whoa. Long subject - still, it basically says it all: I have an NT PDC and an NT fileserver. I've also got a Linux box compiled with the ACL patches from acl.bestbits.at and I've got Samba 2.2.5 (--with-acl-support) configured to be a PDC on that box. I've put all my machines and users in LDAP and the Linux box' PAM configuration is also told to look for passwords/users in

Sixtel is still alive?
Whoa, talk about flying under the radar. I got a few DIDs *months* ago from Sixtel (or iax.cc). Initial respone was great, but then it seemed that the only tech-support person had fled the country. No responses, bad responses, poor call-quality. I had a few $s left in the balance and kind-a just forgot about them. Not worth 10 minutes of my time to get $10 of my money back, quite frankly.

In addition, signed zeroes only exist for floating point numbers - the bit patterns for as.integer(0) and as.integer(-0) are identical. Errors with bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1e and asterisk cores
Hi, can anybody tell me what the errors mean and why my asterisk server falls from time to time. From time to time means several hours, not regularly. I also can provide a core if someone can debug?
