Xen-2.0.7: 2.6.14 DomU and Dom0
hi,
i have several small problems. Sometimes the complete Xen machine hangs
and i have to reboot the whole server. I hope that these problems are
kernel problems and i want to build a new kernel with 2.6.14 for Xen
2.0.7.
Is that a problem? The system ist Debian Sarge.

i''ve written a howto in german for using xen (2.0.7). I would be great,
if someone could read it and tell me, whats ok, whats not.
For other (german) users, its a nice help, for first time, with xen.

xen 3.0.3: Problem with setting up iptables (fwbuilder)
hi,
on Friday i did a upgrade vom 3.0.2 to 3.0.3. I get in trouble with my
IPTables rule-set, generated with the fbuilder (2.0.9) tool.
I use as inside device xenbr0 (private-ip) and ppp0 as outside. After
upgrading the scripts from the install, everything blocked, after
starting the firewall. I saw, that xenbr0 does not have any ip, but
eth0, so i changed the inside device from xenbr0 to eth0.

after that, i can''t ping anything to the internet. My old Firewall Setup
used for Xen 2.0.7 stopps working too. Also "iptables -L" over SSH

compute posterior mean by numerical integration
Dear R useRs,
i try to compute the posterior mean for the parameters omega and beta
for the following
posterior density. I have simulated data where i know that the true
values of omega=12
and beta=0.01. With the function postMeanOmega and postMeanBeta i wanted
to compute
the mean values of omega and beta by numerical integration, but instead
of omega=12
and beta=0.01 i get omega=11.49574 and

Using the 'by' function withing a 'for' loop
Dear R experts,
I am trying to optimize my script, because right
now it requires a lot of memory. The goal is to
generate four plots in one page. Every plot
corresponds to the means and sem's calculated for a
given variable at different days. In order to obtain
the means and sem's I apply the 'by' function. The way
I have done it so far is like this:

Interdomain trust with different WINS servers
Hi
I am trying to stablish a relation between two different Samba domains. Each
domain has two PDCs, all they are WINS servers, and the two domains are in
different subnets. They are configured to use LDAP as the user/group/machine
database. First, I will create the relation, being DOM1.CORP the trusted
domain, and DOM2.CORP the trusting domain, so in a server of DOM1.CORP, I
create a user this

pdbedit will only add users to the local machine domain, not the global domain
Hello all,
When I try to add a user to my secrets.tdb file on my Samba 3.2.0 PDC, the
users are always added under the local machine domain, not the global domain.
That is, if my PDC machine name is srv1, and it is PDC for the domain DOM1,
then whenever I add a user using "pdbedit -a -u username", then that user
gets placed under the local domain SRV1, not the global domain DOM1. So my
