Xen.org Community Survey
Xen Community:
I have created a short survey (only take about 5 to 10 minutes to take) to gather feedback on the current set of tools available for Xen.org community members as well as determine the next set of tools that the community is looking for. The survey does not require identification so all answers are anonymous. Once the survey is complete, I will publish the results so everyone can

Xen 4.1 Feature Request List
Xen Community:
As many of you are aware, the Xen 4.0 hypervisor is due to ship tomorrow (shhhh, don''t tell anyone) and I wanted to get submissions underway for Xen 4.1 features. I have updated the Roadmap Wiki page (http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XenRoadMap) with a new section for Xen 4.1 features to be added. Lots of console; attach and grep?
We have recently started routing about 3 PRI's worth of traffic thru our
asterisk box.
The text on the console now flys by so damn fast, I can't really see
what the heck is going on. Even with verbosity 0 and debug 0 it is still
so fast.
Is there some way I can attach to the console in a way that will allow
me to grep or otherwise filter the text so I can focus on something in

Jumbo packets and xen
We are utilizing the xen hypervisor on nexenta with ISCSI as our
method of communication with the guests (currently ubuntu but could be
moving to centos). Obviously jumbo packet support would be nice to have.
The last time I see that on the xen roadmap
http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XenRoadMap . Is there a canonical
place that spells out if jumbo frames are now supported or still on the

Xen 4.0 native UEFI support
Hello,
I am trying to get some information on if Xen 4.0 has native UEFI support.
The roadmap http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XenRoadMap has UEFI as a
request. However, Xen 4.0 documentation does not make mention of UEFI.
Thanks,
Jason

XCP Community Meeting #2
Team:
It is time to start thinking about our 2nd XCP meeting for the Xen.org XCP team. The last meeting was held on May 25, 2010 at 14:00 UTC. Notes are at http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XCP_Monthly_Meetings. For the next meeting I hope to schedule a time that is better for our Asian participants so please contact me with a time that would be best if you live in Japan, Korea, Australia, etc.

RE: xen - rdma live migration support
Hi Ola,
There was some code done by IBM a few years ago in conjunction with a University that worked and showed the benefits but AFAIK it was never integrated into Xen. The research paper is around on the web.
A few of us requested RDMA migration support for version 4.0 and it is at the top of the request list, I suspect it is probably a case of enough people asking and Citrix approving.

Annoucing Citrix Project Satori
Citrix Project Satori is the result of a collaborative agreement between XenSource and Microsoft, and was carried forward after XenSource was acquired by Citrix Systems. The base Satori components are released by Microsoft as the Linux Integration Components for Hyper-V, and provide support for paravirtualized XenLinux guests running on Hyper-V. The Linux Integration Components can be downloaded
