ocfs2console is slow
Ever since we have installed OCFS2, we have had extremely slow
performance in the ocfs2console. It can take us over 30 minutes to do
the simplest tasks.
We do not have this type of performance with other xwindows applications
on our server.
Does anyone have any performance improvement suggestions for the
ocfs2console?
Thanks,
Reid

Slow umounts on SLES10 patchlevel 3 ocfs2
Hi,
we are using a SLES10 Patchlevel 3 with 12 Nodes hosting tomcat application servers.
The cluster was running some time (about 200 days) without problems.
Recently we needed to shutdown the cluster for maintenance and experianced very long times for the umount of the filesystem. It took something like 45 minutes each node and filesystem (12 x 45 minutes shutdown time).
As a result the planned

Add a new node to ocfs cluster
Hi everybody,
My problem is that I want to add a new node to an existing RAC with ocfs2, without stop the database.
If I add a new node to an existing ocfs cluster, do I need to stop the ocfs in the others nodes of the cluster?
I've tried to do it without stop the ocfs in the others nodes but I get the following error:

ssh user equivalence
We are getting some pushback from our SA group regarding root having ssh
user equivalence on the cluster where we run OCFS2.
Is it required to have the ssh user equivalence setup for the root user
when running OCFS2 ?
Thanks in advance,
Reid

[PATCH] Remove unecessary ERROR when removing non-empty directory
While removing a non-empty directory, the kernel dumps a message:
(rmdir,21743,1):ocfs2_unlink:953 ERROR: status = -39
Suppress the error message from being printed in the dmesg so users
don't panic.

Unable to access cluster service
hello,
I'm running Ubuntu Breezy with the OCFS2 modules in the standard kernel. I
installed ocfs2console and ocfs2-tools
I've formatted a partition with ocfs2. But I can't add any node or mount the
device(with the ocfs2console). because I get a "Unable to access cluster
service"
I can't find the cause nor the solution to this.

Error mounting ocfs2 partition...
Hi,
I'm new to this list and to the ocfs2 system and to clustering in general (3 strikes?--ack!). I have some problems with my first attempt at configuring an ocfs2 system and need some perspective. My setup is a Compaq Proliant CL380 2 node cluster with a shared storage array. Both nodes are currently running SLES 10. However, I am just trying to get one node working. I have read the

Transport endpoint is not connected
Hi,
I want to share a partition of an external disk between 3 machines. It
is located on a Sun StoreTek 3510 and bound (via multipathing) to all 3
machines.
One machine (say mach1) is the node I used to create the filesystem and
setup /etc/ocfs2/cluster.conf. I copied the file to the other 2
machines. All use the same /etc/multipath.conf[1], too. All start
/etc/init.d/ocfs2 at boot, all are
