[PATCH 0/7] ocfs2: Directory indexing support
The following patches implement indexed directory support in Ocfs2, mostly according to the design doc I wrote up a while ago: http://oss.oracle.com/osswiki/OCFS2/DesignDocs/IndexedDirectories The patches have been rebased on top of 2.6.29-rc2. It should be trivial to put them into merge_window. Things are what I'd call complete now. I'd like to get these into the merge_window branch

[git patches] Ocfs2 updates for 2.6.30
Hi, The following patches comprise the bulk of Ocfs2 updates for the 2.6.30 merge window. Aside from larger, more involved fixes, we're adding the following features, which I will describe in the order their patches are mailed. Sunil's exported some more state to our debugfs files, and consolidated some other aspects of our debugfs infrastructure. This will further aid us in debugging

filesystem is going read-only
I have a cluster with 2 SLES 11 SP1 servers and I'm running ocfs2 in order to keep a disk mounted on both servers. It has been working perfectly for a long time but last Friday the ocfs filesystem became read only. I unmounted, run fsck.ocfs2 and the problem was solved for a few hours and then happened again. the errors found in the log are: Mar 15 14:12:01 server2 kernel:

[PATCH] ocfs2: make __ocfs2_page_mkwrite handle file end properly.
__ocfs2_page_mkwrite now is broken in handling file end. 1. the last page should be the page contains i_size - 1. 2. the len in the last page is also calculated wrong. So change them accordingly. [PATCH Resend] ocfs2: free allocated clusters if error occurs after ocfs2_claim_clusters
From: Zongxun Wang <wangzongxun at huawei.com> Even if using the same jbd2 handle, we cannot rollback a transaction. So once some error occurs after successfully allocating clusters, the allocated clusters will never be used and it means they are lost. For example, call ocfs2_claim_clusters successfully when expanding a file, but failed in ocfs2_insert_extent. So we need free the allocated

[PATCH 1/2] Ocfs2: Add a new code 'OCFS2_INFO_FREEINODE' for o2info ioctl.
The new code is dedicated to calculate free inodes number of all inode_allocs, then return the info to userpace in terms of an array. Specially, flag 'OCFS2_INFO_FL_NON_COHERENT', manipulated by '--cluster-coherent' from userspace, is now going to be involved. setting the flag on means no cluster coherency considered, usually, userspace tools choose none-coherency strategy by

[git patches] ocfs2 updates
This set of patches includes a few dlm related fixes from Kurt, and a small, trivial cleanup by Adrian. Also included are three disk allocation patches by me - two fixes and one incremental improvement in our allocation strategy. These have been around since early June, so I think they've had enough testing that they can go upstream. Please pull from 'upstream-linus' branch of

VFS: brelse: Trying to free free buffer
I got this error in my log reports this morning, from the machine I use as my firewall. This is the first time it has occurred, but the machine is running a very new kernel: Linux fendrian.rimspace.net 2.6.0-test11-fendrian #1 Wed Dec 10 22:25:59 EST 2003 i486 GNU/Linux The kernel was up to date as per the CVS repository at that point. [patch]fix get_bh and brelse issues when drop snapshot
Hello, When drop_progress isn't zero, the root->node's usage count is increased in btrfs_search_slot. Therefore, the get_bh in the body of while loop is redundant in most cases. (this change is in accordance with btrfs_defrag_leaves). The second change is decrease root->node's usage count when drop a snapshot. Regards YZ diff -r 29b8cc7794ac extent-tree.c --- a/extent-tree.c

ext3 htree brelse problems look to be fixed!
I just booted 2.5-bk current as of last night with the below patch¹ (which was recently posted to ext3-users) that un-static-ifies a struct dx_frame in namei.c. I then did my best torture test for the brelse bug: starting gnus (3600+ nnmh folders² with a total of XXX messages; it does a readdir on each of those folders) while doing bk consistancy checks in 2.5 and/or 2.4 kernel trees. RE: [Ext2-devel] Re: ext3 htree brelse problems look to be fixed!
I post a patch for comment on ext2-devel for the NFS cookie bug. Did not get any feedback yet. As Ted suggested, it set the cookie to -1 on EOF, even though it is not seek able to there. I only test it with Stephen's "readdir.c". Not have chance to run it on a NFS server yet. Do you have more information about the cache trashing bug? Regards, Chris ===== dir.c 1.5 vs edited

[PATCH] ocfs2: Reserve 1 more cluster in expanding_inline_dir for indexed dir.
In ocfs2_expand_inline_dir, we calculate whether we need 1 extra cluster if we can't store the dx inline the root and save it in dx_alloc. So add it when we call ocfs2_reserve_clusters. [RFC][PATCH] masklog: update comments in masklog.h
In upstream ocfs2 code, /proc interface for mask log is updated into files under /sys/fs/o2cb/masklog, comments in fs/ocfs2/cluster/masklog.h are out of date. This patch modifies the commens in cluster/masklog.h, which also provides a bash script example on how to change the log mask bits.
