Patch to recover orphans in offline slots
This patch is against ocfs2-1.4 and also applies to ocfs2-1.2. ocfs2 mainline requires only the first portion of the patch and hence will make a separate patch for that.

[PATCH 0/62] Ocfs2 updates for 2.6.26-rc1
The following series of patches comprises the bulk of our outstanding changes for Ocfs2. Aside from the usual set of cleanups and fixes that were inappropriate for 2.6.25, there are a few highlights: The '/sys/o2cb' directory has been moved to '/sys/fs/o2cb'. The new location meshes better with modern sysfs layout. A symbolic link has been placed in the old location so as to

[PATCH 1/1] Patch to recover orphans in offline slots during recovery and mount
During recovery, a node recovers orphans in it's slot and the dead node(s). But if the dead nodes were holding orphans in offline slots, they will be left unrecovered. If the dead node is the last one to die and is holding orphans in other slots and is the first one to mount, then it only recovers it's own slot, which leaves orphans in offline slots. This patch queues complete_recovery

[PATCHv3 3/4] qemu-kvm: vhost-net implementation
This adds support for vhost-net virtio kernel backend. To enable (assuming device eth2): 1. enable promisc mode or program guest mac in device eth2 2. disable tso, gso, lro, jumbo frames on the card (disabling lro + jumbo frames should be sufficient, haven't tested this) 3. add vhost=eth2 to -net flag 4. run with CAP_NET_ADMIN priviledge (e.g. root) This patch is RFC, but works without

[git patches] Ocfs2 patches for merge window, batch 2/3
Hi, This is the second batch of Ocfs2 patches intended for the merge window. The 1st batch were sent out previously: http://lkml.org/lkml/2008/12/19/280 The bulk of this set is comprised of Jan Kara's patches to add quota support to Ocfs2. Many of the quota patches are to generic code, which I carried to make merging of the Ocfs2 support easier. All of the non-ocfs2 patches should have

[PATCHv4 6/6] qemu-kvm: vhost-net implementation
This adds support for vhost-net virtio kernel backend. This patch is not intended to being merged yet. I'm posting it for the benefit of people testing the backend. Usage instructions: vhost currently requires MSI-X support in guest virtio. This means guests kernel version should be >= 2.6.31. To enable vhost, simply add ",vhost" flag to nic options. Example with tap backend:

How to break out the unstop loop in the recovery thread? Thanks a lot.
Hi everyone, I have one OCFS2 issue. The OS is Ubuntu, using linux kernel is 3.2.50. There are three node in the OCFS2 cluster, and all the node is using the iSCSI SAN of HP 4330 as the storage. As the storage restarted, there were two node restarted for fence without heartbeating writting on to the storage. But the last one does not restart, and it still write error message into syslog as below:

Ext3, orphans and read-only
Hi, I've seen a problem where on recovery after a crash the orphan cleanup code clears the read_only bit and does not reset it. This causes the the fsck to drop to the "fix filesystem" prompt simply because the root filesystem is now mounted rw. It looks like this: Creating rootdevice Mounting rootfilesystem EXT3-fs: INFO: recovery required on readonly filesystem. EXT3-fs:

[PATCH 1/1] Patch to recover orphans from the slot during mount
Currently we only queue recovery during mount if the journal is dirty. If the last node holding orphans in other node's orphan directory dies and is the first one to mount then it only recovers its orphan directory which leaves the orphans in other nodes slots. Since the other nodes journals are clean they will not queue to recover their orphan directory. This patch queues to recover orphans
