[PATCH 14/14] ocfs2: include disk heartbeat in ocfs2_nodemanager to avoid userspace changes
This patch removes disk heartbeat's modularity which makes it the default.
Without this patch, userspace changes are required.
This patch is not intended for permanent application, just to make it easier
for users not interested in testing the userspace clustering implementation
to use ocfs2.
In order to switch to user clustering, use "o2cb offline" to shut down the

[PATCH 01/11] ocfs2: event-driven quorum
This patch separates o2net and o2quo from knowing about one another as much
as possible. This is the first in a series of patches that will allow
userspace cluster interaction. Quorum is separated out first, and will
ultimately only be associated with the disk heartbeat as a separate module.
To do so, this patch performs the following changes:
* o2hb_notify() is added to handle injection of

[PATCH 1/1] ocfs2/cluster: Make fence method configurable
By default, o2cb fences the box by calling emergency_restart(). While this
scheme works well in production, it comes in the way during testing as it
does not let the tester take stack/core dumps for analysis.
This patch allows user to dynamically change the fence method to panic() by:
# echo "panic" > /sys/kernel/config/cluster/<clustername>/fence_method

When i start samba i get the following error:

[git patches] Ocfs2 and Configfs updates for 2.6.27
I'm running a bit late with the e-mail this time around, but I think that's
ok since there really isn't any major new features here - the bulk of the
Ocfs2 update is bug fixes, or cleanups. The same goes for configfs.
The only two things that could be described as features would be:
- Sunil has updated Ocfs2 to provide even more live cluster locking
information via debugfs.
- Joel

User Groups (hadnling undefine groups)
I am trying to handle in my user class assigning user to groups, and
handling that some groups might not be defined for that node. Example here
is handling a non-datase node,
"juser" fails with "Error: Failed to apply catalog: Parameter groups
failed on User[juser]: Group names must not be empty. If you want to
specify "no groups" pass an empty array" even in

O2CB in ocfs2tools 1.2.4
Hi,
I might be overlooking the obvious, but I have yet to find
"/etc/init.d/o2cb" however, I read that configuration uses this init script.
Where is it?
From: ocfs2-tools-1.2.4/README.O2CB
[Starting the OCFS2 Clustering Services]
O2CB is comprised of a simple node manager, heartbeat, TCP protocol, and
DLM. The basic steps in startup are as follows:
1) Load the nodemanager,

Running two clusters side by side
I''m happy to announce that ChaCha.com a new search engine that debuted this
week and it runs on a mongrel cluster.
Warning, promo follows. :)
ChaCha.com is unlike any other search engine since it allows you to connect
to a "guide" with experience in the field(s) of knowledge you are searching

[GIT PULL] ocfs2 changes for 2.6.37
Linus, et al,
Here are the ocfs2 changes for 2.6.37. There are three major
additions. Tao Ma has added readahead to our CoW operations. Sunil
Mushran has added a global heartbeat mode, allowing one device
heartbeat to support multiple ocfs2 mounts. Finally, Patrick J.
LoPresti has done the final work to enable ocfs2 mounts on devices larger
than 16TB. The ocfs2 disk format has always

OCFS2 Installation woes
I've got a fresh RHEL AS 4-U2 installation on a Dell PE2850 server.
I downloaded and installed the latest RPMs:

ocfs2-tools-1.0.2-1.i386.rpm
ocfs2console-1.0.2-1.i386.rpm
I was able to start the console, but when I try to run
cluster->configure_nodes, I get the following error message:

Sampling Weights in HB Choice Modelling (e.g., rhierMnlRwMixture)
Is anyone familiar with a way to account for sampling weights (e.g., in order
to cope with selection bias) for individual respondents using the bayesm
package (e.g., rhierMnlRwMixture)?
In the regular MNL this can easily be done in STATA using the mlogit
function with pweights option. However, I am unfamiliar with a way to do it
in HB estimation.
Any help or hints are appreciated.
Best, Klaus

Help with HB analysis in R for a conjoint study Data
Dear Group
I was referring to a conjoint analysis scenario using R from the paper
referred below:
Agricultural Information Research 17(2),2008,86-94
available online at www.jstage.jst.go.jp/
This paper describes the data modelling of a conjoint study design based
on conditional logit procedure.
I understand that Heirarchical Bayes is asymptotically equivalent to
Conditionallogit. However it

[PATCH] upsstatus += HB, TEST
Arjen, Arnaud, All,
Here I propose 2 new status flags for inclusion into NUT:
HB - HighBattery
TEST - Battery test is running
rationale: Eltek AL175 alarm module provides this info, therefore
rationale: I dicide to add them.

Question about "HB" flag and a "battery.charge.high" name
Hello all,
During discussion at
https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/pull/2430#discussion_r1592317940 I
found that while `nut-names.txt` documents the `battery.charge.low` as the
"Remaining battery level when UPS switches to LB (percent)", there is no
counterpart as `battery.charge.high`. First I thought one could be just
added... but for that matter, what could one logically mean -

Question about "HB" flag and a "battery.charge.high" name
Thanks for the insights, especially these:
> If this is about having variables with thresholds that control devices or
cause synthetic setting of some variable (like turning on LB if charge% is
< battery.charge.low), then it makes sense.
> "battery voltage is unreasonably high" is a reasonable concept. <...> I
would not call it HB, though because that makes it sound

[PATCH] Remove versioning information
The versioning information is confusing for end-users. The numbers
are stuck at 1.5.0 when the tools have moved to 1.8.3.
I suggest removing the versioning system in the kernel altogether
and let the kernel version be the guide to debug issues. However, if
you think versioning is still required, please state the reason and
modify the version string in the ver.* files to reflect the uptodate
