partials and instance variables for file_column
Hi, Sebastian Kanthak of the file_column-Plugin wrote once: "is the photo object inside a local variable or an instance variable (e.g. photo or @photo)? url_for_file_column only works with instance variables, like all other active record form helpers. Could this be the problem?" So I''m using file_column in a partial, e.g. <%= render (:partial => "product",

problems with file_column plugin
1) installation is not as smooth as some other plug-ins. If you follow the instructions on http://www.kanthak.net/opensource/file_column/ it makes a directory called trunk instead of file_column. You have to manually rename it to file_column. I guess this is a minor annoyance but it gives me the feeling that things aren''t quite like other plugins. 2) I get this error: undefined

BUGS n code generated for target i386 compiling __bswapdi3, and for target x86-64 compiling __bswapsi2()
I just compiled the two attached files in 32-bit mode and ran it. It printed efcdab8967452301. I verified via objdump that the my_bswap function contains the follow assembly which I believe matches the assembly you linked to on godbolt. _my_bswap: 1f70: 55 pushl %ebp 1f71: 89 e5 movl %esp, %ebp 1f73: 8b 55 08 movl 8(%ebp), %edx 1f76: 8b 45 0c movl 12(%ebp), %eax 1f79: 0f c8

Rails Plugins: Why to register your own functionality with send()?
Hi there, I have seen in the file column plugin ( http://www.kanthak.net/opensource/file_column/) from Sebastian Kanthak or David''s acts_as_taggable plugin that to register my functionality I need to do something like this: ApplicationHelper.send(:include, InPlaceEditAssociations) I am wondering why not: (a) module ApplicationHelper include InPlaceEditAssociatons end or: (b)

file_column
I use file_column and it works fine. I tried to change the store_dir to a the path I want my files to be stored and not the default. I stored some images fine. But when I try to reach my images it seems like file_column uses the model_name/attribute_name on the image and not the store_dir I used. How can I change this ? Thanks in advance -- Alexander Antonakakis

[PXELinux 5.01] BUG: "unable to locate configuration file" if directory tftpboot/syslinux exists
Hi, I'm using PXELinux (on Windows NT5.x, with Windows NT5.x tftpd and the PXE server included in the "Windows XP Embedded Remote Boot Server"). This works well here since more than 10 years now. Recently I created a subdirectory "syslinux" in my "tftpboot" ... and PXELINUX failed with the message "unable to locate configuration file". Renaming that

BUGS n code generated for target i386 compiling __bswapdi3, and for target x86-64 compiling __bswapsi2()
bswapdi2 for i386 is correct Bits 31:0 of the source are loaded into edx. Bits 63:32 are loaded into eax. Those are each bswapped. The ABI for the return is edx contains bits [63:32] and eax contains [31:0]. This is opposite of how the register were loaded. ~Craig On Sun, Nov 25, 2018 at 10:36 AM Craig Topper <craig.topper at gmail.com> wrote: > bswapsi2 on the x86-64 isn't using

Problem With url_for_file_column/file_column
I am using the very helpful file_column extension in my app. The uploading portion works great - no problems. Where I am having an issue is displaying the images in my view. My code looks like this: <% for @record in @main_box_releases -%> <%= image_tag(url_for_file_column("record", "record_cover")) %> <% end -% @record is an instance of a class called

file_column and tmp files
Hi again... One more item.. the file_column plugin uses a tmp directory inside the /public directory to store a temporary uploaded item. But it looks like this folder is just going to grow and grow. Is there some way to clear this out or not cause this to happen? Thanks once again! -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.
