Hi, I am using OCFS 1.0.11 with RH 2.1 e.30 on two dell servers and Oracle 9.2.0.5. I would like to use Oracle RAC to test some features on our storage array. For example: SCSI Reservations, IO fencing etc. Performance Fail-Over... I am looking for some scripts or procedures that Oracle recommended for doing those kind of functional tests. Had anybody done benchmarks comparing 10G RAC with and without ASM? Better yet I would like to know if there are any performance improvements of using ASM instead of OCFS. With all the hardware RAID available I'm having a hard time to justify the use of ASM. Any feedback is appreciated. Raj

Well, you are the second person who has complained about the performance of OCFS with the PERC controller. Best option would be to contact DELL. We are in contact with them... as in, they inform us of any issues they have with linux/ocfs on their hardware.
