accessing log likelihood of poison model
Could someone tell me how to access the log likelihood of a poisson model? I've done the following.... <BEGIN R STUFF> freq.mod <- glm(formula = nfix ~ gls.gls + pol.gls + pol.rel + rac.gls + rac.pol + rac.rac + rac.rel + white + gls.gls.w + pol.gls.w + pol.rel.w + rac.gls.w + rac.pol.w + rac.rac.w + rac.rac.w + rac.rel.w, family = poisson, data = Complex2.freq, offset = lnoffset)

Is the order important when installing ocfs2 and Oracle RAC?
Is the order important when installing ocfs2 and Oracle RAC? If you have an existing RAC installation and you want to use ocfs2 for shared files but not for the OCR or Voting Disks, do you need to reinstall the Oracle Clusterware after installing OCFS2? Disappointing Performance Using 9i RAC with OCFS on Linux
Wim, Thanks for your prompt response on this. The tpmC figures look very impressive, and tpmC is read intensive. I had already read note 236679.1 "Comparing Performance Between RAW IO vs OCFS vs EXT2/3" which I guess is the article to which you are referring; it made me suspect that the poor performance was due to the lack of an OS IO cache but I wasn't sure. The database is

Observations
Hi, we have a 2 node / 3 node RAC installation with OCFS. We have the following observations. 1. TIME STAMP Issue We have noticed that the time stamp which is shown on the datafiles doesnt remain the same even after a shutdown normal /shutdown immediate i.e If I shutdown all RAC instances ( A , B , C) using shutdown normal / immediate, the timestamp on the datafiles are not the same. Oracle 9i RAC on OCFS2
Hi, I'm setting up a 2-node Oracle 9i RAC on OCFS2. But I have some problems with understanding how the shared Oracle_Home is being used. For instance there is the *$ORACLE_HOME/oracm/admin/cmcfg.ora* file. The $ORACLE_HOME is on the SAN so the 2 nodes have access to this file. How will the settings then be done per node? Is there a guide/tutorial/howto for installing Oracle 9i RAC on

RODBC connection name
Hello all, I've scoured the RODBC.pdf, but there appears to be no way to set the name of the RODBC connection. This is useful for the DBA's to know that some processes should only run for so long and can be automatically killed. But currently the name is just R. so they aren't sure if the connection can be automatically killed. We are able to set this with our perl ODBC interfaces

Oracle RAC in libvirt+KVM environment
We wan't to setup two Oracle instance and make RAC work on them. Both VM are setup based on libvirt + KVM, we use a lvm lun which formated in qcow2 format and set the shareable properties in the disk driver like this: <disk type='block' device='disk'> <driver name='qemu' type='qcow2' cache='none'/> <source

Why OCFS2 with RAC
I have been a user of OCFS2 for quite some time now (2 years or so) and a user of Oracle RAC for several years as well. My usage of these two is completely independent though, the cluster filesystem is for application level usage (web servers, etc.) only because RAC can manage its own shared storage directly. And that brings me to my observation/question... I keep seeing a lot of messages

Caveat: I know nothing in particular about Oracle RAC, but... Assuming that RAC uses something like SCSI reservations in order to share the disk, I would guess it doesn't like the disk being on the IDE

ORA-01207 after SAN maintenance
We had a situation over the weekend with our production database that we can't figure out, hoping someone can shed some light. Specifics: Oracle 9.2.0.4 OS is Redhat AS2.1 ocfs-2.4.9-e-summit-1.0.12-1 ocfs-tools-1.0.10-1 ocfs-support-1.0.10-1 ocfs-2.4.9-e-enterprise-1.0.12-1 All database, redo, undo, and control files are on ocfs, archived logs are on ext3. We shut down the database for san

OCFS Database too slow
Hi All, we are using Red Hat 2.1 Kernel e38 along with MSA 1000. ocfs version being used is $ rpm -qa | grep ocfs ocfs-tools-1.0.10-1 ocfs-2.4.9-e-enterprise-1.0.12-1 ocfs-support-1.0.10-1 Database Version is 9.2.0.5 However we find that the performance of the database on OCFS is too slow. even a select count(1) from all_tables takes like a while to complete. We initially assumed RAC is
