Cannot unmount status = -999
When either machine in my 2-machine Oracle 9i RAC cluster is rebooted, I get an error message on the console saying "Unable to sendmsg", ocfsipc.c, status = -999. Does anybody know what this is?

RES: RES: RES: ocfs installation error on RHAS 2.1
Well, I've compiled and installed Kernel 2.4.9-37 uniprocessor. I've made ocfs setup using version 1.0.9-9 uniprocessor. I've generated ocfs.conf using ocfstool. [BUG] node 0 hangs until disk unmounted on node 1
I'm currently part of a project implementing Oracle eBusiness Suite 11i on RAC. We're using a two-node cluster with shared storage, both nodes are configured identical. Kernel is 2.4.9-e.27enterprise and ocfs is 1.0.9-11. I have checked and the shared storage can be accessed directly without any problems from both nodes (/dev/sdx). Curious if anyone has any suggestions or comments

REGARDING TO DOWNGRAING OCFS FROM 1.0.14-1 TO 1.0.9-12
Hi, all. My name is Kenichiro Ochi, in Oracle Japan Support. Customer examines upgrading OCFS from 1.0.9-12 to 1.0.14-1. And customer asked us a question about the way of downgrading to 1.0.9-12. (customer presumes a case in case after the upgrade.) We tested the following... 0.After the upgrade 1.umount OCFS volume on all nodes 2.uninstall rpm (V1.0.14-1) # rpm -e ocfs-tools-1.0.10-1 # rpm

Unresolved Symbols on Uniprocessor Kernel
I'm trying to install ocfs using RHAS 2.1 uniprocessor kernel on a vmware gsx server 3.0 virtual machine and I'm getting the unresolved symbols error when I try to start ocfs. 'modprobe -d ocfs'
What does 'modprobe -d ocfs' show? If it tells you 'symbols not found' it's the RPMs incompatible with your kernel version. Ensure you have the correct RPMs. Successful 'rpm -ivh' doesn't mean correct installation. Should be: [root@pc33 root]# modprobe -d ocfs ============================================= Module ocfs kname ocfs objkey ocfs names: ocfs mode: NORMAL

Hi, Is this "Unresolved Symbols" issue only occurring on VMware with e.38? We have OCFS users want to update their kernel to e.34 or e.38 without VMware. Please advise, Thanks! [Fwd: Re: Ocfs and EMC Powerpath]
That should say below, we are using Powerpath on the CX300's AND the CX600's... ----------------------------------------------------------------------- We are using Powerpath with CX300's and Emulex HBA's, also with OCFS on Red Hat 2.1 AS. Kernel upgrades are the biggest issue that we have, as some of the drivers are dependent on modules built for specific kernels, and if your

OCFS not releasing space?
I have noticed that OCFS is not updating the filesystem space stats when datafiles are reduced in size: is this Bug 62, and if so is there an expected fix date? ocfs-2.4.9-e-enterprise-1.0.11-1 ocfs-support-1.0.10-1 ocfs-tools-1.0.10-1 Linux sgl43d-122 2.4.9-e.35enterprise #1 SMP Wed Jan 7 15:11:27 EST 2004 i686 unknown bytes name 2097152000 /data/oracle/QSG40/u01/dtr_med_i_02.dbf /dev/sdc1

ocfs performance
Hi, I'm new to the list, so forgive me if I'm asking several naive questions that have been answered a dozen times before. I have RHAS with kernel version 2.4.9-e.10smp, running ocfs-support-1.0-2, ocfs-tools-1.0-2, ocfs-2.4.9-e.10-smp-1.0-2. I have Oracle 9iR2 RAC up and running on an IBM fiber channel architecture. I find it to be extremely slow compared to other stand alone

OCFS problem with 2.4.9-e.27 (Solved?)
Hello, where do you had downloaded the ocfs-2.4.9-e-1.0.9-8.src.rpm -Package and where can I find a working combination of fw-kernel and ocfs? We are testing under SLES8 and had linux-2.4.20rc2-orafw Kernel downloaded from otn and try to compile the ocfs-sourcen also downloaded from otn. Problem is, that Suse SLES8 works with kernel 2.4.19, so we can't recompile the ocfs-sourcen for kernel
