NT_STATUS_HOST_UNREACHABLE when trying to access Linux system samba share
I am getting this message when trying to access Samba shares on a linux system.
I have 2 linux computers and one Win XP system. I can see/access/read/write on
all the WinXP shares from all systems. I can only access the Linux shares on the
local system, that is linux1 can see it's own Samba shares, but can't see or
access the shares on linux2. the reverse is true for linux2 as well. I am

No, the first DC was a migration of a Win Server 2003, and the second DC

Yes, but already I posted the smb new post.

[LLVMdev] buildbot failure in LLVM on llvm-ppc64-linux1
Hi All,
I'm trying to reproduce a failure on llvm-ppc64-linux1 (http://lab.llvm.org:8011/builders/llvm-ppc64-linux1/builds/5382) and llvm-ppc64-linux2 builders caused by one of my patches yesterday. Some of the CodeGen/Hexagon tests failed to compile with stack dump problem.
I tried to configure and build LLVM for PowerPC on my machine locally but don't see the failures. I had to remove

[LLVMdev] PowerPC 64 build bots...
Hey Galina, Will;
I've been working to revive the PPC64 build bots, and succeeded, but not
for the right reasons. There were still bootstrap assertion failures and
other pretty blatant errors. Then we figured out why: the Clang
bootstrapping build bots for Power7 are not actually running any of the
Clang tests!
Could one of you tweak this build bot's configuration to match the other

vlan traffic shaping.
I couldn''t find anyone who had actually made it work via google so I
guess I''ll ask here.
My setup is a VPN point to point link. The VPN is a modified version of
Openvpn where I''m using zlib compression to improve the compression a
bit.
The goal is to shape traffic coming from a routing server through the
vpn to the endpoint of the vpn and in such a way maximize the

Unable to load module "configfs"
I've seen others with a similar problem, but have yet to find a solution.
I'm using CentOS 4.4, installed the ocfs2 package to match my kernel.
Installed ocfs2tools. I can open the ocfs2console just fine, but when trying
to add a node, it tells me the cluster stack could not be loaded. When I do
/etc/init.d/o2cb configure, I get:
Cluster to start on boot (Enter "none" to clear)

OCFS2 Installation woes
I've got a fresh RHEL AS 4-U2 installation on a Dell PE2850 server.
I downloaded and installed the latest RPMs:
ocfs2-2.6.9-22.ELsmp-1.0.7-1.i686.rpm
ocfs2-tools-1.0.2-1.i386.rpm
ocfs2console-1.0.2-1.i386.rpm
I was able to start the console, but when I try to run
cluster->configure_nodes, I get the following error message:
Could not start cluster stack. This must be resolved before any

I need to be able to turn off host checking entirely
I have a small LAN. The entire system is within my view - all the
hosts, the switch and the wire. If someone is in a a position to do a
"man in the middle" attack, there's no need - they already have me.
Over the other side of the room, and beside my desk, I have test
systems. I use disk caddies (see www.vipower.com for examples) and can
switch operating systems in about the

SAMBA winbind problems
Ok... I am running fedora core 3 and trying to authenticate to a
windows 2003 server...
I was able to join the domain without any problems... I was having
problems creating the directories... Found an article that mentioned
to add
client schannel = no
to get to the point I am at now...
The account is granted access... The directories are created... I
click ok... Then it gives me an xsession

[git patches] Ocfs2 and Configfs fixes
The only non-fix here is Joel's new configfs convenience macros, but nobody
is using them yet, so I think the patch is safe.
By the way, these patches (as usual) are all rebased on top of your latest
tree. I think that since the vast majority of ocfs2 and configfs patches are
self-contained and within a small area of the kernel that this should
probably be fine. If you feel otherwise however,

[git patches] Ocfs2 and Configfs updates for 2.6.27
I'm running a bit late with the e-mail this time around, but I think that's
ok since there really isn't any major new features here - the bulk of the
Ocfs2 update is bug fixes, or cleanups. The same goes for configfs.
The only two things that could be described as features would be:
- Sunil has updated Ocfs2 to provide even more live cluster locking
information via debugfs.
- Joel

win 2k3 / XP Pro to Samba 3.0.1 open failed, result=-512
I'm having some confusing problems transferring approximately 16GB, in
about 541,000 individual files.
What is happening is that I am starting with a blank destination
directory on a gentoo system running samba 3.0.1, and pulling from one
of two windows systems. The problems come in that each time I use rsync
(version 2.5.7) over samba to keep the data on the gentoo system's side
in sync
