Posix warning : Access to ... is crossing device
I have a distributed/replicated setup with Glusterfs 3.0.2, that I'm testing on 4 servers, each with access to /mnt/gluster (which consists of all directories /mnt/data01 - data24) on each server. I'm using configs I built from volgen, but every time I access a file (via an 'ls -l') for the first time, I get all of these messages in my logs on each server: [2010-05-04 10:50:30] W

recursive methods for concatenating sets of files
Hello, I would like to read sets of files within a folder, perhaps using recursive methods. Right now, I rename the files before import. It would be even better to do this without renaming files, without providing explicit filenames, perhaps by importing files based on chronology, and translating each filename into a header? Please excuse my ignorance, and help cure my clunky programming

Adding devices to a zone on SXU4 + 127111-03 && 127728-02
Hi *, Missed it by that '''' much... or something to brighten everyone''s Friday. This is just a heads up since I suspect others will run into it. bob Consider the possibilities of a device named star. I added devices from the global zone to the bug zone in the usual way and rebooted the zone: <device match="/dev/zvol/rdsk/bug/devices/*"/> And I got

problem with OCFS label
I used this command to create volume label on OCFS: mkfs.ocfs -F -b 128 -L data13 -m /oradata/data13 -u oracle -g dba -p 0775 /dev/emcpowerp1 emcpowerp is composed of /dev/sdad and /dev/sdk. It seems the above command created the same labels for /dev/emcpowerp1, /dev/sdad1 and /dev/sdk1. But when I tried to mount this ocfs filesystem by label, it gave me the following error. # mount -L data13

Memory Problems with CSV and Survey Objects
I'm working with a 350MB CSV file on a server that has 3GB of RAM, yet I'm hitting a memory error when I try to store the data frame into a survey design object, the R object that stores data for complex sample survey data. When I launch R, I execute the following line from Windows: "C:\Program Files\R\R-2.9.1\bin\Rgui.exe" --max-mem-size=2047M Anything higher, and I get an

Converting coordinates to actual distances
Hello, I've been searching for a method of converting Lat/Lon decimal coordinates into actual distances between points, and taking into account the curvature of the earth. Is there such a package in R? I've looked at the GeoR package, but this does not seem to contain what I am looking for. Ideally the output would be a triangular matrix of distances. Thanks in advance, Paul Brewin

Looping
I need to read csv files repeatedly, named data1.csv, data2.csv,? data24.csv, 24 altogether. That is, data<-read.csv(?data1.csv?) ? data<-read.csv(?data24.csv?) ? Is there a way to do this in a loop? Thank you. Steven from iPhone [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Counting number of datasets and appending them
Hi there, I have a question on how to read a bunch of dataset, assign each of the dataset to a matrix in the memory, and append them. Suppose I have 20 dataset saved to different .rda files named gradeFileData1, gradeFileData2,...., gradeFileData20. And I would like to read them each into a dataset in the memory, then combine them. I wrote something like: e1<-new.env(parent=.GlobalEnv)

formula for calculating the survival probability for nomogram
Hi, I used Dr. Harrell's rms package to make a nomogram. Below is my code for nomogram and calculate total points and probability *in original data set* used for building the nomogram. *My question is how I get the formula for calculating the survival probability for this nomogram. Then I can use this formula to do validation by using other data set. * f1 <- cph(Surv(retime, dfs) ~

Re ad in multiple datasets
Hello, all: I have twenty datasets named as: data1.csv, data2.csv, ?, data20.csv. I am trying to read all of them into R by using loop and function read.table(), but I don't know how to handle the name of datasets. Has anybody have encountered a similar problem? Or do you have any suggestions? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Legen -- View this message in context:
