rsync and missing files?
(The list archiving site appears to be down -- sorry if this is answered
there...)
I'm using rsync to perform backups to an rsync daemon as follows:
/usr/local/bin/rsync -az --delete $X user@1.2.3.4::backup/current
One of those $X's is /home, which contains a few thousand maildir's.
Trouble arises when attempting to copy files that are quickly moved. (eg,

Only one out of 10 remote extensions expiring registry
I have about 20+ phones on a server, all set for registry expiry 1 min. But
only this one, with 2 accounts, keeps re-registerting itself. All the time
this is what I see on asterisk CLI and it is kind of annoying. What only
this phone does this and no other. Its on a remote location. All phones are
Grandstream GXP-2000.

disable spoolss - not working
Hi,
I don't want to have to downgrade my samba server to disable spoolss.
I'm running 2.2.3. (I assume I don't need 2.2.3a since it just fixed
an overwrite bug).
When I use "disable spoolss = no", I can access my printer
\\server\savin just fine.
When I use "disable spoolss = yes", I can see my printer (savin) in
\\server, but when I access it, I get:

table that have many-to-may relationship to itself
In a social netowrk data model, users belongs other users, and can have
many friends as users, so it is a many to many relatioship.
the class definition could be
class User < ApplicationController

But how it looks like in the mysql database tables in a "joined" users
table.
The question really is: what is the table looks like when a model has

panel data unit root tests
When finally got some time to do some coding, I started and stopped right
after. The stationary test is a good starting point because it demonstrates
how we should be able to move the very basic R matrices. I have a real-
world small N data set with
rows:
id(n=1)---t1---variable1
...
id=(N=20)---T=21---variable1
Thus, a good test case. For first id I was considering something like this:

Running R from SAS
Hello All,
I am interested in running an R program with several random seeds. One approach is to launch the program from SAS. The recommended approach is to use the X command as shown below:
OPTIONS XWAIT XSYNC;
X "r.exe --no-save --quiet <""c:\temp\r\program.r"" >""c:\temp\r\program.log""";
However, this does not seem to work for me.

Help reproducing buildbot failures
Hi,
(Reposting the request to llvm-dev for better visibility)
I had to revert a change today, due to test errors on some buildbots. The
errors did seem to only happen on the ppc64be and aarch64 buildbots. I
don't have access to a ppc64be setup to test on, but I've tried to build
and run in a setup very similar to the one on the aarch64 buildbot, but I
can't reproduce the errors

Problem with local email after shorewall installation
Hi,
Summary of problem:
Local mail on the firewall stopped working after installing shorewall
Background
yesterday I installed shorewall, based on the debian package from
www.backports.org
(which seems to be a 2.0.3 package) on an otherwise virgin debian woody set up.
Configuration was done based on the two-interface setup.
Kernel is 2.6.8.1 unpatched. A 2.4.23 kernel, with

Tukey post hoc comparison (glht?) after 3factorial mixed model (lmer)
Hello, dear R-community.
This is a question about TukeyHSD between factor combinations of a Three-Way
ANOVA, which is - since it is a multi measure ANOVA - not a simple ANOVA but
a Generalised Linear Mixed Model (GLMM), calculated with "lmer".

[LLVMdev] MergeFunctions: reduce complexity to O(log(N))
Hello Sean and Tobias,
Sean,
Thank you. Could you describe Nick's ideas in few words or give me links
to your discussion, so I could adapt my ideas to it.
Tobias,
Your patch fails on several modules in my benchmark (73 of ~1800 tests).
I have sent one as attachment.
See statistics files for more details, all the .ll files you could
simply find in test-suite object directory (after

Problems compiling (configure) R on Ubuntu linux (debian)
Hello!
I would first like to appologice if this question does not fit on this
mailing-list.
I am new to Linux and I tried to compile R on my Ubuntu Warty linux. I
followed the instructions in "R Installation and Administration" manual. It
seams that there was a problem with "configure", since when running "make"
afterward gave me this reply:

I have a question about estimating IRT models by using nlme, not just rasch
model, but also other models.
