Gluster update | need your support
Dear Members, Even though Gluster team is growing at a steady phase, our aggressive development schedule out phases our resources. We need to expand and also maintain a 1:1 developer / QA engineer ratio. Our major development focus in the next 8 months will be towards: * Large scale regression tests (24/7/365) * Web based monitoring and management * Hot upgrade/add/remove of storage nodes

Sharing home directories between two symetric nodes?
Hello, I just discovered Gluster a couple of weeks ago and went through the initial documentation and got it compiled. It looks very promising both for my home network and for work. For now I'm concentrating at home - We have to Ubuntu 8.04 desktops, one for me and one for my wife. We generally try to keep them off when not used but at any time any one of them could be up or down. I was

Does anybody know how to you use tcng with packet marking. I''m masquerading my connection so to shape outbound traffic I need to mark packets with iptables. But how to you make tcng to recognize marked packets? Thanks for your help.

Freeze when swithing vt
Hello. I am running 0.3.6 compiz under Fedora Core 6 and nvidia 1.0-9631 binary driver. I have noticed that switching to console with ctrl-alt-f1 and then back to x with ctrl-alt-f7 locks up the system with a black screen more or less (sometimes the lockup is complete, sometimes the cursor moves and it is possible to switch back to console), A user on nvnews forums suggest that disabling sync to

graphic question
Hi, I want to use R for some data mining project , and was wondering if it has any intercative graphical features? For example, is it possible to plot a histogram and be able to select a specific point on it and have all the data about it? or select a specific area in a curve and have all the data about it? or possibilities to zoom out and in? Thank you for your help, Mama Benchaffai School of

HTB classifying
I am trying to shape a client (somewhat advanced). This is my target: Client is 192.168.2.224. I would like to allow him to download with 500000 bits/sec in general. But, for a specific port(say 22), i would like him to download with 300000 bit/sec only. The problem is that my configuration (maybe wrong) allows him to download with 800000 bit/sec. (500000 generally + 300000 on port 22) I thought

imap process consuming 100% CPU (Dovecot 1.0.3)
Hi, I have yet another problem with Dovecot: sometimes (rarely, maybe once every few days) one of the imap processes will 'hang', consuming all available CPU time. It does not seem to 'finish' in any reasonable amount of time (in one instance I waited a few days). This process will not even exit gracefully, it needs to be killed with 'kill -9 <PID>'. It has

iterative proportional fitting in R?
Hi, We have some sample data from the US census, and we know the marginal totals for the population. We need to make the population estimates add up to the correct sums. I have two questions: Is there some package in R which does this adjustment, by any means? Is there some more modern reference for this problem than Deming's 1943 monograph, ``Statistical Adjustment of Data''?

(not necessarily R-related) help with data presentation
I have a question which is not necessarily related to R. I want to use a distorted political map of the world with certain countries increased in size according to a certain variable (an idea similar to the homunculi usually found in psychology textbooks) to demonstrate the coverage of particular countries in a news service. Does anyone have any idea of how to approach this? I don't think
