SUMMARY: Can't 'save-as' from MS Word
Thanks a million to Wendell Wilson, who offered a solution to the problem we've been seeing regarding saving a document in MS Word. I know we really do need to upgrade to at least 2.2.6, and I am planning it - but this gives us little more breathing room with everything else going on. Once again, appreciate your help! --Gene Original Question: At 04:35 PM 11/14/2002 -0800, I wrote:

Samba PDC/LDAP Questions
Howdy all... I am trying to use two different samba servers in a test environment such that a Win98 SE user logs into his/her workstation, authenticates/authorizes themself via the PDC, and then mounts a different samba server to store his/her files. By files I *guess* I mean profile as this is where I assume that this user's personal files will end up. Question 1: Is this assumption that a

bandwidth cosume - iax
When I'm connected with two clients in the same LAN of the asterisk server using the same codec and the IAX protocol, I have no media passing through the asterisk. But, when these clients are on the Internet, all the media flow pass through the asterisk server. Is that way that it works? I can't see what is the difference. Thank you and I'm so sorry for my poor english. Wendell

Newbie playing with php
Hi, folks. I've installed icecast 1.3.11 and I'm very happy with it. But I'd like to add a "now playing" gizmo to my home page; can anyone point me to a php script or something else that does the trick? Thanks in advance. -- People don't quit playing because they ___vvz /( grow old. They grow old because they <__,` Z / ( quit playing. [Oliver Wendell

Bluetooth headset in handsfree modewith SJPhoneorX-lite
I am able to pickup, hangup, and flash, using the buttons on the phone with all of the soft clients and both of the headsets I mentioned below. I don't believe I had to change anything on the client side, just had to get the ctp (cordless telephone profile) working in the bluetooth stack, which was a pita. I struggled with the same issue...I could use the headset, but that's not very handy

Bluetooth headset in handsfree modewith SJPhoneor X-lite
Hi, You need to have completely replaced the Microsoft driver, because it doesn't support the headset or ctp Bluetooth profiles. This gave me fits! I followed the instructions at http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/windows/2005/07/05/bluetooth.html and it works with both a Plantronics and a Motorola Headset, and I can answer calls with idefisk, eyebeam, x-lite, and kapanga. Disk quotas for Sendmail
Hi, CentOS 5.x, Sendmail 8.13.8. I would like to start using disk quotas on my Sendmail server, and optimally they should be configurable by user or group. How can this be done? Logon script change failure
I've got a bunch of servers which for a long time now have provided domain logon scripts of the form %u.bat or %m.bat I've recently created a more capable logon script in Kixtart and have changed smb.conf to launch it for all users as just logon.bat So no more per-machine or per-user scripts, everybody runs the same one, and inside it it does per-machine and/or per-user things. Stability
I''m wondering if anyone might have any suggestions... We''ve installed CentOS5.2 on 3 servers and have an FC switch, dual-port cards, and FC RAID device. We configured the RAID as two separate logical RAIDs. One is RAID-10 for speed and it hosts Xen VM images as LVs. The rest of the drive is RAID-5 to maximize space and houses a lot of lighter access data on a GFS2 filesystem.
