SSH 2.2.0
Yo All!
I have been playing with SSH 2.2.0 from www.ssh.com. I can not
connect to openssh 2.2.1p1 using Ver 2 protocol from ssh Ver 2.2.0.
Ver 1 works fine.
See below for the debug output from both ends
If I force hmac-md5 (-m hmac-md5) from the sender it works!
The other 3 choices fail: hmac-sha1; hmac-md5-96; and none.
I have no problem connecting to this openssh host (hobbes) from

sftp
Yo All!
I understand why we do not have sftp in openssh, but it would be nice
if we could make it so that when an SSH.COM scp2 client makes a connection
to an OpenSSH V2 daemon that it does not hang....
Any ideas or do I need to dig a bit on this?
Here is what the sshd says when I conenct to it from scp2:
debug: session_open: session 0: link with channel 0
debug: confirm session

Could you please try the below diff if you have been experiencing
problems with the globbing support in the sftp client. There have been

openssh-1.2.1pre24 on SCO
Yo All!
Sorry if this is obvious but I am new to openssh. I have used the
original ssh for a while and am familiar with it (and it's
restrictive license).
I am trying to port openssh-1.2.1pre24 on to SCO UnixWare 7.1.0. I
will post the small patches when it is really running.
Two problems, SCO has no /dev/random so I installed egd-0.6. It
usually works but sometimes dies. I have sent

make install
Yo All!
I was just looking at the "other" SSH for ideas. There is
one thing in their install that would be nice. When they do a
'make install' they check to see if a host key already exists and
if it does not they create one and install it. This sure makes life
simple and should be simple to code in the Makefile.

-1 and friends
Yo All!
Well I work on a diverse number of OS's with a diverse number of
clients. Some use F-Secure, SecureCRT, PuTTY, SSH.COM. OpenSSH, etc.
with a wide variety of versions between each, some from source,
some from rpms, etc... Basically a lot of legacy stuff that no one
has the time to update.
In fact I am working on a couple of OpenSSH config problems in the
last few days. Sometimes we

Client Profile mistake
Hello,
after our harwarechrash we had to change the serversystem to another
hardware.
I copied all necessary samba files (I hope I did) to the new hardware and
restarted Samba.
Now when I try to log on the domain the client ist no longer trusted by
the domain.
When I add the client to the domain to solve these problem, I get an new
profile after login.
And this is my problem. All our

OpenSSH 2.1.1p1 on SCO Unixware 7.1.0
Yo All!
I was just trying out OpenSSH 2.1.1p1 on SCO Unixware 7.1.0.
The "configure" dies. See below.
This seems to be the problem:
if test -d "$f" -o -e "$f" ; then
conf_lastlog_location=$f
fi
test is expecting a "shell option" after the "-o".
If I run "/bin/sh ./configure" it fails.
If I run "/bin/bash ./configure it

net setlocalsid for doimain doesn't work as wanted
Hallo Herr Trapp,
ich bin am verzweifeln. Haben Sie eine L?sung gefunden,
um mittels setlocalsid die Dom?nenSID zu ?ndern? Ich weiss, es ist
schon l?nger her.
Ich soll einen alten SAMBA 2 durch eine neue Maschine mit SAMBA 3
ersetzen. Der Server l?uft gut, aber mit net setlocalsid, dem Kommando

SSH & xauth (fwd)
YO All!
Have you guys been following the SSH discussion on Bugtraq lately?
I like their idea the X forwarding should be OFF by default on the
client.

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I have just uploaded 1.2.1pre18.
This is mainly merges from the OpenBSD tree, bugfixes for Solaris
and libc5 Linux systems. It should fix all reported bugs except the
snprintf problems on some older Solaris versions.
Please test thoroughly, my hope is to have a stable version
released before Jan 1. At this point the main holdup is Solaris.

1.2.1pre25 on IRIX 6.5
Built it OK, and the daemon runs fine, but the client has a
problem. It identifies all remote hosts as 255.255.255.255 and
complains that the key differs:
de5 at sws5$ ssh sws31 date
Warning: the host key for 'sws31.cind.ornl.gov' differs from the key for the IP address '255.255.255.255'
Any ideas?
Please copy me on replies.
