OpenSSH, sftp problems
Hi -
We have been fighting this issue quite some time now and a posting on
the general list some months ago did not provide any answers. So I
thought the developers may have an insight.
We are in a Tru64 4.0F environment, running C2 security and TCP
Wrappers.
We are using OpenSSH_2.5.1p2
OpenSSL 0.9.5 28 Feb 2000
Zlib 1.1.3
for remote sessions and all works ok with ssh but

Use of TCP_NODELAY in commercial SSH
In order to test my overlapping request path for sftp on another ssh
server, I downloaded ssh2 version 3.1.0 from ssh.com. Having downloaded
it, I decided to study the use of TCP_NODELAY in that implementation.
Here's what I found:
* Both ssh2 and sshd2 has a NoDelay config option which is false by
default.
* The ssh2 client does not enable or disable NoDelay because of a channel

Solaris + PAM/LDAP + pubkey failing?
I've got a Solaris 8 and 9 box using LDAP to successfully authenticate users.
I can get logged in via ssh using keyboard interactive (via PAM/LDAP). When
I try to use pubkey authentication, both the pubkey as well as the fallback to
keyboard interactive always fail. I've tried openssh versions as early as 3.4
and as new as the 11-06 snapshot with the same behavior. Everything works

Problem with non-interactive shells on Sol8 with 3.7.1p1
We recently started upgrading OpenSSH on our Sol8 systems and we've run
into a problem were we can run commands on a remote system since we
installed 3.7.1p1. The debug output from sshd is attached below. We use
PAM in our environment, and have since 2.9.9p2. I think most of the
systems were running 3.4p1 prior installing 3.7.1p1 and they were working
- the only thing we replaced was

I just got an INTERNAL ERROR: Signal 11 in smbd (4.12.10) in something that sids_to_unixids() in source3/winbindd/idmap_hash/idmap_has.c calls and 3 levels down - unfortunately the stack trace doesn?t say what it is - probably optimised into inline code or something.
Recently upgraded from Samba 4.12.5 to 4.12.10 (self-compiled). FreeBSD 12.2

Problem connecting to v2.9.9p2 on Solaris 8
I ran into a weird problem yesterday where Putty can't connect to my
OpenSSH/Sol box (and still can't ever since). On the Putty side I get the
error message:
"internal fault: chaos in SSH 2 transport layer"
I've attached the "sshd -d -d -d" syslog output.
Any ideas what's going wrong here? From a layman's point of view, it
would appear that Putty and

Hi,
I am not sure this is a bug in Openssh or not.
I am running Openssh 4.1p1. with openssl 0.9.7g
Scenario:
When my password is in the warning period, I logon via ssh and I did not
get the warning message which I should.
I enabled the DEBUG level to 3 and I can see that sshd did received the
warning message but It is not displayed from login session.

Logging of key fingerprint / comment with v3.4p1
Hi,
I'm wondering whether it is possible to log the key fingerprint (or, the comment of the key) that was used for authentication) with the actual available openssh v3.4p1 on solaris?
(with Solaris 8 / UsePrivilegeSeparation yes, if this might be relevant, it seems not)

[Bug 1229] No way to set default umask for SFTP server
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1229
------- Comment #2 from hans at parse.nl 2006-11-09 20:52 -------
I think there's a bunch of Gentoo users including me that are
interested in this feature aswell, now that the Gentoo core system
packages team decided to ditch the sftplogging
(http://sftplogging.sourceforge.net/) features of the openssh ebuild.

unable to get connection thru firewall
Hi,
I've a Solaris 8 with Openshh 3.0.1 (build with these parameters
--prefix=/usr/local --without-rsh --disable-suid-ssh
--sysconfdir=/usr/local/etc --with-ssl-dir=/usr/local/ssl
--with-tcp-wrappers). If I come from the same subnet as the server is on,
I've have no problems. But When I try via the Internet I doesn't. If I run
snoop I can see I get contact with the server:
