Bar charts with error bars
I would like to add error bars to a bar chart, I have created in R. I am able to add error bars to a bar plot, but the same method does not seem to work for my bar chart version.   Is there a way to add error bars to bar charts? ________________________________________________________ Audi, Fiat, Peugeot, Skoda, Porsche, Toyota, Ford - Kelkoo har brugte biler til en hver smag! lme4 question
Hello, I am trying to run the following model: domi ~ type*ratio+((1|id)+(0+type|id)+(1|face_id)+(1|car_id)) My question is whether the data coding for "face_id" and "car_id" variables is correct. As you see on the following sample data structure, "type" is repeated measure where 1=car, 0=face. Thus, I coded "face_id" as "0" when the type is 1

Best place for generic utility classes?
I have some code that is simply formatting and parsing URLs and I really don''t want to associate it with a view or a controller or a model - I just want it to be available as a utility class. Where should this utility class go? I would have to import it into my controller using "require" correct? Thanks, Wes -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

What i''m trying to do is get a list of all the employees in the system and have a check box that states if they are associated with the current

Playing FLAC Files on Audi MMI
Hello, I am hoping that perhaps you know the answer to my car audio question, or can at least point me in the right direction. I own a 2013 Audi S4 that has the 3G-Plus Multi Media Interface (MMI) with the Bang & Olufsen Sound System. The MMI is able to playback lossy, compressed audio files (MP3, WMA and AAC), but does not have native support for FLAC, ALAC, or WMA Lossless.

Why copying columns of a data.frame becomes numeric?
Dear list, I want the 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 6th columns of mtcars. After copying them, the columns become numeric class rather than data frame. But, when I copy rows, they data frame retains its class. Why is this? I don't see why copying rows vs columns is so different. > class(mtcars) [1] "data.frame" > head(mtcars) mpg cyl disp hp drat wt qsec vs

Image manipulation/resizing server-side?
I''d like to implement a system in a Rails app where I allow the user to upload an image file, and then the app takes that image and manipulates it, saving a thumbnail, small, and original size version of the file to the server. How would I go about doing that? Thanks, Jeff -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

My Rails Day entry: internet command line
Well, my entry for the 24-hour Rails Day competition is here: http://yubnub.org . It''s a web app called YubNub that implements the grandiose idea of a "command line for the Web OS". Type "gim porsche 911" to do a Google Image search for Porsche 911 cars. Type "random 1000" for a random number between 1 and 1000. Type "tts David Heinemeier Hansson is

Hi, Kind of wondering if there are any in Singapore, and if so would like to meet up to chat and talk shop? Maybe even form a support group for Rails, or form a community of Rails developers here? I''ve been using Rails for the past months developing an in-house web application, a port from an older application. Thks! -- Sau Sheong http://www.saush.com http://read.saush.com

odfWeave - A loop of the "same" data
Before I go and do this another way - can I check if anyone has a way of looping through data in odfWeave (or possibly sweave) to do a repeating analysis on subsets of data? For simplicity lets use mtcars dataset in R to explain. Dataset looks like this: > mtcars mpg cyl disp hp drat wt ... Mazda RX4 21.0 6 160 110 3.90 2.62 ... Mazda RX4 Wag 21.0 6 160 110 3.90

Faceted bar plot shows wrong counts (ggplot2)
I have encountered a problem with faceted bar plots. I have tried to create something like the example explained in the ggplot2 book (see pp. 126-128): library(ggplot2) mpg4 <- subset(mpg, manufacturer %in% c("audi", "volkswagen", "jeep")) mpg4$manufacturer <- as.character(mpg4$manufacturer) mpg4$model <- as.character(mpg4$model) base <-

How to secure web services created by ActionWebService?
Hi, Does anyone know how I can go about securing web services created from ActionWebService? The manual from rubyonrails.org (http://manuals.rubyonrails.com/read/book/10) doesn''t say anything at all on this ... or do I have to implement my own access control? -- Sau Sheong http://www.saush.com http://read.saush.com http://jaccal.sourceforge.net -------------- next part

Documenting web services API''s
Sorry to have to post this again - it was probably under the wrong subject and went unnoticed. Is there a standard for providing user documentation for methods that I expose through we services? The default documentation (method names and return types) that appears when the user visits http://localhost:3000/backend/invoke is concise and correct, but a bit terse. How can I give my users a little
