Resize ocfs....?
I've tried several times to resize one of my ocfs volumes[see emcpowere1 below]
I'm on the latest [prod] version of ocfs/ocfs-tools as of 3pm EST on 18JUL04.
Per instructions...
Take down db, unmount all ocfs drives, use ' tuneocfs -F -S 100G /dev/emcpowere1 '
Supposedly this should work, but I get get....
The size specified, 100G, is larger than the device size, 59G.
Aborting.

Multiple Filesystems on one path stmt in smb.conf
Can the path statement in the smb.conf contain two entries as in the example
below:
path = /u04/abcdef /u03/xyz
What I want to do is to essentially have 2 filesystems be part of one share
so that the windows users would see all the sub-directories of filesystems
/u04/abcdef and /u03/xyz

Dsync crash (v2.2.10, sdbox+sis → mbox)
Hi,
I'm trying to use dsync to convert sdbox + sis mailboxes to mbox (mbox
is chosen here to "re-attach" the attachments to their original place)
# dsync -Dv -u $LOGIN -o

ZFS+NFS+refquota: full filesystems still return EDQUOT for unlink()
We have been using ZFS for user home directories for a good while now.
When we discovered the problem with full filesystems not allowing
deletes over NFS, we became very anxious to fix this; our users fill
their quotas on a fairly regular basis, so it''s important that they
have a simple recourse to fix this (e.g., rm). I played around with
this on my OpenSolaris box at home, read around

ZFS and Live Upgrade
Is there any update/work-around/patch/etc as of the S10u4 WOS for the bugs that existed with respect to LU, Zones, and ZFS? More specifically, the following:
6359924 live upgrade needs to include support for zfs
I can''t even find that bug ID on bugs.opensolaris.org (or via sunsolve when I''m logged in for that matter) anymore. Basically, one couldn''t put zoneroot on

SSH hanging
Hi,
We installed OBSD's ssh package on production and find our batch jobs
are hanging on the "ssh"
command. The details are included below, for both normal and "hanging"
executions. Please let
me know if this is a new or existing bug or if you require further info
to debug this. The command
was executed with the highest debug level (-v -v -v for level 3). This

Supplied buffer too small in API command
I've searched around throught the documentation, but I can't find
anything relating to the error message "Supplied buffer too small in
API command". I have SAMBA installed on seven HP 9000 boxes running
HP_UX 10.20, and they are working fine. I installed SAMBA on another
box yesterday using a cloned smb.conf file, and now I can't connect
from Windows 95 to the new box.

Snapshots silently eating user quota
All,
I assume this issue is pretty old given the time ZFS has been around. I have
tried searching the list but could not get understand the structure of how
ZFS actually takes snapshot space into account.
I have a user walter on whom I try to do the following ZFS operations
bash-3.00# zfs get quota store/catB/home/walter

Huge difference in reporting disk usage via du and zfs list. Fragmentation?
Do we have enormous fragmentation here on our X4500 with Solaris 10, ZFS Version 10?
What except zfs send/receive can be done to free the fragmented space?
One ZFS was used for some month to store some large disk images (each 50GByte large) which are copied there with rsync. This ZFS then reports 6.39TByte usage with zfs list and only 2TByte usage with du.
The other ZFS was used for similar

/etc/rc.local and /etc/fstab
Upon system boot, is it ok to mount OCFS2 mounts from /etc/rc.local
rather than /etc/fstab ?
Are there any downsides to using rc.local that you are aware of?
Example /etc/rc.local script:
#!/bin/sh
#
# This script will be executed *after* all the other init scripts.
# You can put your own initialization stuff in here if you don't
# want to do the full Sys V style init stuff.

dsl_dataset_t pointer during ''zfs create'' changes
I''ve noticed that the dsl_dataset_t that points to a given dataset
changes during the life time of a ''zfs create'' command. We start out
with one dsl_dataset_t* during dmu_objset_create_sync() but by the time
we are later mounting the dataset we have a different in memory
dsl_dataset_t* referring to the same dataset.
This causes me a big issue with per dataset
