Syslinux 3.81 released
Hi everyone, I have pushed out Syslinux 3.81 to the usual places. Again, special thanks to my employer, Intel, for letting me spend time working on this stuff ;) -hpa Syslinux 3.81 is primarily a bug fix release. The main new features are halt-on-idle support and some features to isohybrid, including the ability to boot from an image written to a partition. Changes in 3.81: *

argv[0] doesn't contain module name and cat.c32 hangs with Syslinux 4.00-pre36
The program name of the module can't be retrieved with argv[0]. I tested it by running cat.c32 (com32/samples/cat.c32). In Syslinux 3.85, argv[0] returns an empty string. In Syslinux 4.00-pre36, argv[0] returns some garbage characters. ISOLINUX 3.85 2010-02-20 ETCD Copyright (C) 1994-2010 H. Attached are 4 patches against Syslinux 4.06 providing two new options for the linux.c32 ComBoot32 module. If we are shifting gears towards 4.10 or 5 any time soon, feel free to let me know and I'll attempt to apply the patches to those and to deal with any conflicts. You can merge these commits onto your 4.06 from my 'multi_initrd' branch at:

Syslinux + USB + PE 2.0
I am having the darnedest of times trying to get my WinPE to work off the syslinux loader. I used to use isolinux, and my isolinux config would just invoke the etfsboot.com file which i had renamed to loader.bin, and everything would work just fine off a cd. But now I'm trying to transfer all of my cd functionality to thumbdrives. With Syslinux, i have my syslinux.cfg file calling loader.bin

USB bootable (using syslinux)
Hello! I just started using Linux and I like the possibilities it offers. I'm using Suse Linux (no MS Windows installed at all). I also discovered that syslinux is capable of making a USB pendrive bootable (with graphic menus). This is very nice. Since I'm a Windows user (up until now), I have some questions: 1 - I already downloaded syslinux 3.82 How do I install it on my pen drive

Syslinux 4.06-pre12
Hi, I've just pushed out a last -pre release before 4.06 final. The purpose of this prerelease was to make sure that all the build infrastructure is configured correctly and to ensure that the win installer problem is now gone (I've done the build on an F16 machine which should have a working mingw toolchain). Barring any major problems I'll do the final release this week. -- Matt
