HardwareList - webcams
Hi List, The hardware list page on the Wiki: http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/HardwareList says: "I'd like to see this page as an entry point for hardware that does not work with CentOS out of the box or only with some effort. I do not see a need for a list which states all working hardware." I'd like to ask if we can make a small exception to that rule for

Publishing a webcam on a web page?
This talk of cameras has reminded me of a problem I've not yet been able to solve. I have a Logitech Communicate STX ( ID 046d:08ad Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Communicate STX ) This seems to work under v4l on CentOS 5.4. If I load xawtv (from rpmforge) then I can view the image from the camera. But what I'd like to be able to do is have the image appear on a web page (maybe streaming

EOF from net_disconnect(fd)
I?m working on an OS project from github. There are two parts: Dovecot plugin - https://github.com/st3fan/dovecot-xaps-plugin Daemon written in Go - https://github.com/st3fan/dovecot-xaps-daemon # dovecot --version 2.2.10 Both parts worked fine on CentOS 6 but I recently rebuilt them both for CentOS 7 and have run into some errors. Joining samba4 as a DC to Windows Server 2012 active directory
Hello all, I am attempting to join samba4 to my current domain which is controlled by a Windows 2012 Active Directory Server. When following the instructions on the official WIKI: http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba4/HOWTO/Join_a_domain_as_a_DC I am able to do a kinit administrator, which then gives me a ticket which I can see via klist. The problem is that once I run the command: #

grouping in scatterplot3d
Hi all, I've been using the scatterplot3d function (from the scatterplot3d library) to create 3D plots. I was wondering whether there is anyway to group the points according to a particular group variable. For example I used the plot function as plot( factor( <GROUPINGVAR> ) , <PLOTVARS> ) to organise the results in a according to the grouping variable. I was wondering

RTL8111 Wiki Pages
Howdy, It appears that CentOS 5.2's support for the RTL8111B/C chip is incomplete. The wiki has some blanket statements regarding this support: http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/HardwareList/CentOS5/RealTek/r1000 http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/HardwareList/RealTekRTL8111b I could dive in an make the changes *I* think need to happen but I'd like to talk to people

Zoom....
Hi, folks, Updated CentOS 7 the other day. Updated zoom last night. Ancient (15 yr old) USB camera, Logitech QuickCam Express. If I run LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib64/libv4l/v4l2convert.so cheese, I get video. Zoom, with or without the LD_PRELOAD - no video. I've tried stracing zoom, and created a file /etc/ld.so.preload, with the contents of /usr/lib64/libv4l/v4l2convert.so, and in

EOF from net_disconnect(fd)
I'm not the originator. I'm just trying to do some maintenance on the code to make it work for CentOS 7. I'll check out those two. Any ideas on how to check exactly what's sent via the socket? If the EOF is sent, I know to dig further into the daemon code. Thanks, Steffan Cline steffan at hldns.com 602-793-0014 > On Sep 7, 2017, at 11:43 PM, Aki Tuomi <aki.tuomi at

The following files emits warnings when compiled with gcc 4.0: al175.c bcmxcp_ser.c belkinunv.c cyberpower.c everups.c powercom.c solis.c All warnings seem to be of this variety: everups.c:38: warning: pointer targets in passing argument 2 of 'ser_get_char' differ in signedness I suggest that those who fiddles with those drivers fixes the warnings and verifies that it works

video problems
I've got an ancient USB videocam (QuickCam Express, yes, 15 years old). I got it working under C7, after I removed the default loaded gspca_spca561, and replaced it with the previous driver, gspca_spca508. It also needed zc3xx. Then I updated and rebooted my system a couple of days ago, and now no /dev/video, no errors.... Any clues? mark "other than waiting for a camera to arrive

rpm for r8168
Hello I've just been hit by one of the chipsets described at http://wiki.centos.org/HardwareList/RealTekRTL8111b. Because a) it does not work with the stock driver included in Centos 5.1 and b) I am very lazy and I do not like manually compiling modules each time a new kernel is installed (not to mention that I never forget anything, except for the important things which always go

question about cloud() in lattice package
Hi all, I have been previously been using scatterplot3d package to create some graphs but unfortunately it does not allow me to rotate the plot on all three axis. The cloud() function in the lattice package does allow me to do so. When I was using scatterplot3d I was using a script (Shown Below) to calculate the mean, quartiles and range limits for all three axis and I was representing that on the
