How to edit the wiki
Hi, I made a manual related to How to install CentOS Directory Server, and this is in spanish. I would like to add this to the wiki, in the following URL: http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos In the section 2. Directory Services But, I don't know how to edit the wiki. I have used before dokuwiki and mediawiki, but this wiki looks like moin or another. What implementation is this? Thanks! --

Edit request for DirectoryServerSetup
Hi, I'd like to make (or request) a change to http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/DirectoryServerSetup. This still lists the testing repository as the current location for the centos-ds packages. However, as of May 2009, they are now in the extras repository[1]. It would be nice to add some additional quick steps to this page as well, such as running ds-admin-setup.pl, registering with another

ApacheDS vs OpenLDAP
Hi all, Wondering if any of you have thoughts/experiences with ApacheDS? We've all had trials and tribulations regarding OpenLDAP and while its basically working pretty well in a master/slave relationship, ApacheDS claims more robust replication, etc... Granted I am working with the version bundled with CentOS, I do understand that the latest OpenLDAP is wayyyyyyy betterrrr :) - Aurf

Hi, Kopete does not show any contact in ICQ... Will there be fixes for this? Or do I have to wait for kde-redhat to support centos5? Thx Rainer

Call for testing.
Recently we made somemajor changes to do_child() in OpenSSH -current. Those changes included splitting it up into smaller chunks to help with readability and also to extract out IRIX and AIX specific code to reduce the number of lines in our diffs against the OpenSSH tree. I need people to do some testing on different platforms to ensure that all the right #ifdef/#endif bits got put back in

openssh-2.1.1p2 problem and fix
Hi all, trawled through the archives and did'nt find what I was looking for so here goes. This may be common knowledge or may not for the developers here ... maybe it will save someone some time anyhow. I'm running Redhat 6.2, **2.4.0-test1 kernel**, openssh-2.1.1p2.tar.gz, openssl-0.9.5a.tar.gz, with these options. sh configure --with-tcp-wrappers --with-md5-passwords

RHL init.d/sshd ipv6 hack
Hello all, I'm using the attached patch. With it, if you add OPTIONS="-6" in /etc/sysconfig/sshd (this kind of sysconfig/<name> is a pretty normal RHL practice), then you can enable ipv4 and ipv6 on RHL without problems and without having to modify the init.d/sshd script. This or something like should IMO be added. Removing 'noreplace' from sshd_config

2.4 kernel on CentOS 4.1
Just wondering if anyone is running a 2.4 kernel with CentOS 4.1? I need to "downgrade" for compatability with a disk driver, and from experience I know this can be a HUGE problem with certain other distros... Encoding or Playback problem?
Hi all, Have trouble encoding / playing back OGG using WinAmp + plugin. I encoded the files from .WAV with Ogg drop RC2. Seems to be ok. When I try and play them back though I get very very weird sound effects (some kind of "wobbling", some bass frequencies that are usually in the background seem to get more emphasised and they seem to have some kind of strange echo / reverb to it

CuteFTP and sftp.
For those who did not get the annoucement. CuteFTP is now claiming to support sftp as stated in the RFC. And at first glace it *SORTA* works.=) I can upload files, but the directory listings are broken (it does not display anything) and as a result download won't work (since cuteftp rquires the file to be in the directory listing to get). I'm going to back down a releas of

Announce: Test release with random collection support
I have just uploaded a test release of portable openssh to http://violet.ibs.com.au/openssh/files/test This release includes some major changes picked up from OpenBSD CVS. It also includes inbuilt random number gathering support which should remove the need for EGD on systems that lack /dev/random. This support is very preliminary. Please treat it as alpha and don't use it on production

problems running configure
I am trying to run the configure script under SuSE 6.3 and get the same error message that others have seen being unable to find working openssl libraries. I tried the patch to configure.in suggested in this list but it did not solve my problem. openssl(latest version) compiled and installed with no problems in /usr/local/ssl. I then installed the ssl mods for apache and the compilation,

contrib/solaris/buildpkg.sh - use within JumpStart as well?
Hello, I don't know how off the wall this question will be, but first let me say that I've found your buildpkg.sh script very useful in creating an OpenSSH package for use on my Solaris systems. Currently I'm trying to set up a fully automated JumpStart system at my workplace, and I'm realizing that the 'postinstall' script (and possibly some of the other install scripts)

Bad optimization solution
Dear All I am trying to perform the below optimization problem, but getting (0.5,0.5) as optimal solution, which is wrong; the correct solution should be (1,0) or (0,1). Am I doing something wrong? I am using R 2.5.0 on Fedora Core 6 (Linux). Thanks in advance, Paul ------------------------------------------------------ myfunc <- function(x) { x1 <- x[1] x2 <- x[2] abs(x1-x2) }
