RoR authentication with IBM Notes/Domino
This is a very simple authentication system for a Ruby on Rails server in
the same internet domain. It will allow you to get back the username of the
person hitting your server provided they already have authenticated with an
IBM Lotus/Domino or Websphere server that uses multi-server based session
authentication.
IBM Domino/Websphere authentication works by placing an encrypted cookie for

Domino on CentOS
Hello,
Can someone give any advice on installing Lotus Domino 7 on Centos 4.2?
Replacing /etc/redhat-release contents by Nahant signature does the trick?
TIA

Samba, ldap and Domino feedback anyone?
I am on a mission that may allow my company to jetison
some NT and Win2K servers and their related costs.
What I would like to do is implement Samba as our PDC
and Domino as our corporate email using a single LDAP
source to drive both servers.
I have experimented with Samba (2.x) in the past and
can create my own PDC, but I have yet to try this
using an LDAP back end. I hope to begin

Lotus Notes R7 on Wine
Hello
I currently trying to run the Domino Client (Lotus Notes R7) on Wine 0.9.14 but couldn't get success yet.
Does somebody has experience about running the R7 on Wine? I tried a lot of diffrent WINEDLLOVERRIDES settings but all I get is that Lotus brings the crash dialog (which creates a crash error message). I would be very appreciative for any hint.

wine and Lotus Notes R5
I have installed Lotus Notes r5 on a Debian box via wine, and I did this
by "wine /path to setup.exe" and now when I execute "wine
/pathtonotes.exe or /pathtonlnotes.exe" a splash screen for notes r5
comes up and goes away and wine reports it as below:
Wine exited with a successful status
Debian kernel 2.4.25
wine version 0.0.20040309-1
notes version 5.0.10

Linux apps from inside Wine (was:Re: Problems with Lotus Notes R5.0.12 under Wine 20050524)
Hi Andreas,
I saw someone (Mike or Joachim, I think) at the list saying you
have to shutdown the wineserver. It will overwrite the system.reg as soon
it goes down. So before you make the changes be sure there is none wine*
process running.
Hope this helps. If not, write us again and we'll help you

Question about Domino NSF files
I use Rsync to backup 53Gb worth of nsf files from a domino wintel based
server, to a linux server. This works fine, however when trying to use cp
?al to make incremental copies, each copy always ends up being 53Gb in size.
I?m not sure if this is because the files are in use by the domino server at
the time of the backup or if there is some other reason.
Has anybody else come across this or know

Authentication through Domino LDAP service
Hi all.
I would like to setup a Samba server that authenticates connecting
users through LDAP service provided by a Domino server running on
a NT workstation.
I have tried to explore the ldap support provided by the different
version of samba distributions but all suggests that support is not
really stable.
Does anyone has any suggestion?

Is this the Samba version I should be using for this
