Every time callers reach my FXO port, asterisk produces one ring tone just before it executes Answer(). How to remove this?
I have commented "#define RINGBEGIN" on zconfig.h, but it does not help.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Nginx conf with all the right rules for mongrel_cluster
Folks-
James Cox, Alexy Kovyrin and I all huddled up and got nginx working
perfectly with mongrel cluster and rails page caching. So all static
and cached files are served fast by nginx and anything not static
gets sent to mongrel.

Polycom firmware 4.0.1 and paging
Hi,
I just moved many Polycom phones from firmware v3 to 4.0.1b. Anto-Answer
simply stopped functioning. I can downgrade and make it work, upgrading
kills it again. There obviously is a difference in how the newer firmware is
treating this auto answer sip header.
Can anybody tell me if they have Polycom firmware 4.x.x working with
auto-answer/paging? Just so I know it's worth my time

Mongrel + Lighttpd
Hi guys,
I''ve been chasing a problem in my web-stack: Lighttpd -> Mongrel ->
Rails, and found a problem with the interaction of Lighttpd and Mongrel.
If a request takes more than 5 seconds, Lighty will retry it - and
then the requests / responses get mixed up in Lighty and it returns a
bad response to the client. Not good.
I''m convinced that the problem is

Starting estimates for nls Exponential Fit
Hello everyone,
I have come across a bit of an odd problem: I am currently analysing data
PCR reaction data of which part is behaving exponential. I would like to fit
the exponential part to the following:
y0 + alpha * E^t
In which Y0 is the groundphase, alpha a fluorescence factor, E the
efficiency of the reaction & t is time (in cycles)
I can get this to work for most of my reactions,

Hi!
I''ve been following the new mongrel tuneup guide (a huge thanks for
that btw) and here are my results. I''ve basically only gotten to the
point where I''m tuning up 1 mongrel because I suspect I have a
performance problem with my rails app.

The first number is the 10s nconns and the second is the max req/s as

Article: High-Performance Ruby On Rails Setups Test...
This week we have started one new project with Ruby on Rails as primary
framework. My first task was to prepare runtime environment for it on
one of our development servers. When I have tried to research how people
doing it, I noted that there is no information about how to deploy rails
application with nginx as frontend and what is performance of such
solution. Before blindly make any

CD cannot be auto mounted by Nautilus on Linux guest OS
Hello All,
Sorry to resend this email since I really want to know the answer.
Did anybody know how I could make Linux Guest OS mount CD automatically
with Nautilus? When I exposed a Music CD to my FC5 guest os on Xen
3.0.3, I found the CD wasn''t recognized as a Music CD, it was recognized
as a blank CD. In Nautilus, when I clicked the icon of CD, a empty
folder was opened. On general

byte-range requests
I''m trying to sent a file to the iphone (which requires byte-range
request support) using the rails send_file method. However, this
fails, I think because of mongrel. I think so because if I send the
iphone a file handled by nginx, it plays it fine. But then when I
serve the file with rails the iphone can''t play it.
Any ideas?

Reducing echo on FXS port
Hello everybody,
I am sorry to bring this up again if this kind of echo issue has ever discussed.
Phone2 in below call path experiences quite annoying echo:
Phone1 --> FXS (TDM400P) --> Asterisk --> SIP GW --> PSTN --> Phone2
It is annoying as on phone2, we can hear the whole words we say with the level of maybe 25% of the original sound. I can reduce the echo to maximum with

Anaconda doesn't support raid10
So after troubleshooting this for about a week, I was finally able to
create a raid 10 device by installing the system, copying the md modules
onto a floppy, and loading the raid10 module during the install.
Now the problem is that I can't get it to show up in anaconda. It
detects the other arrays (raid0 and raid1) fine, but the raid10 array
won't show up. Looking through the logs

Phew, what does that mean? It's their "bootx64.efi".
Running "file" on it says it's an "MS-DOS executable".

Running VMware ESXi network installer via syslinux/menu
Hello,
So I'm running syslinux.efi
Which loads menu.c32
Which is supposed to start ESXi's bootx64.efi/mboot.efi
But that gives
"""
Loading mboot.efi... ok
Invalid Boot signature 0x2, bailing out
Booting kernel failed: Bad file number
"""
Secure boot is disabled.
Thoughts?
The reason why it would be nice using PXE and syslinux here is because

Remember the vmware versions of their loader are diffrent. I remember
looking at the source for the mboot file and it was diffrent from the
syslinux version.
