flash and konqueror
I am stuck taking this stupid online training course from work. It just sits there doing nothing with firefox, so I pulled up konqueror, and tell it to lie and say it's IE. That works... until it gets to the content, which some HR moron is *positive* desperately needs to be in flash. I've gone into konqi's configuration, and told it to scan the correct directory for plugins, and yet

Flash plugin not working
Hi, I have a fresh install of CentOS 5.5, with a minimal GNOME desktop. I configured RPMForge as third party repo. I updated everything first, then installed flash-plugin. (And yes, I restarted Firefox... :oD). All I see when I try to see some things Flash on the Internet, like Youtube or the likes, I get... nothing. The space remains white. Sometimes a black square will appear, sometimes it

How do I get a flash plugin to work with firefox? I thought that I installed it correctly, but I have yet to see any flash videos through firefox. I keep being told that I need an additional plugin. When I folow directions, I'm told I already have it? At least once, I was told I needed to upgrade. In case it helps, here is the output of yum provides '*flash*' | grep -e lash -e dobe

Music while you work - or not
Wanting to listen to magnatune.com while I worked, I discovered that flash is not working. It appears that I don't have libflashplayer, but yum tells me that no such package is available. I must need a different repo, I think, but what? Currently I have ls /etc/yum.repos.d/ adobe-linux-i386.repo epel-testing.repo CentOS-Base.repo kbsingh-CentOS-Extras.repo

Flash player beta
Has anyone tried the new flash player beta for Linux? http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html I can't get it to work on CentOS 6.8, ff 45.3.0-1, all x86_64. ff's pluginreg.dat shows the plugin is [INVALID], which is often a sign of bitness-mismatch, but that's not the case here. $ tail -n 3 pluginreg.dat [INVALID] /usr/lib64/flash-plugin/libflashplayer.so:$ 1474541270000:$

Adobe Director projectors
Hi there I'm a complete newbie regarding Linux, but we've got a potential sale of our software to a large number of Linux computers and I'm trying to find out how feasible it is, and I'm hoping this is the place to find out! Our software is made using Adobe Director, and we distribute it either through a browser using Shockwave, or as a standalone executable (Projector). I'm

How to tell whether Shockwave is installed?
I'm trying to get the Windows/Mac application Lexialearning to run under mint linux (elyssa). I installed Wine 1.0, installed Lexia, tried to run it. It wanted Shockwave. Adobe won't let me have shockwave because I don't have a browser they support, but I got the installer (for shockwave 11) from download.com. I ran the installation program, it asked what language I want to use

When i go to the adobe site, I click on the YUM for Linux version, then install it, and PC says "/tmp/adobe-release-i386-1.0-1.noarch-1.rpm is already installed" - but it's not working. So then tried downloading the .tar.gz for linux version, and PC asks me which program to open to

A Macromedia Shockwave Flash-based Ogg player?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I'm looking for an Ogg/Vorbis player in Macromedia Flash, for embedding into webpages. I discovered a Java-based player but it's a non-starter. If people have to install things, it's over. They already have flash because almost every website on the damned Internet requires it these days. What I need is an Ogg Vorbis player written in
