One more clue, maybe...
The stack dump message is white text on black background. Right
above the stack dump message, still in yellow-on-blue from the PXELINUX

Problem with /boot/loader
Hello,
I have a problem with loader. I recently upgraded from 6_rel to 7_rel.
Now when I install world there is a problem booting.
Here is what I do:
cd /usr/src
make buildworld
make buildkernel KERNCONF=BLACK
make installkernel KERNCONF=BLACK
At this point I can reboot and all is good. After boot I install the new world:
cd /usr/src
mergemaster -p
reboot into single user mode
cd /usr/src

release open_disk error
Hello,
I wonder what the "open error -1" / "release open_disk error" messages in sanlock.log actually mean.
I saw these messages in the log on a KVM host that rebooted, and after running "/usr/sbin/virt-sanlock-cleanup" on that host.
The resources where disks from 2 guests running on another KVM host.
So in fact the disks are still in use, bot got cleaned up by

Polycom Spectralink 8002 Configuration
I have a new Polycom Spectralink 8002 and am having trouble with the
configuration or the unit but I can't see what's wrong. The unit does
not seem to even attempt to register with the Asterisk proxy but I can
make calls to it. I have viewed the syslog from the device which it
will actually write to the asterisk server so I know it can be reached.
I have also run a sip debug and

Hi again...
The text under "BTX loader..." should appear as a block where each
line is 56 characters long. "BTX halted" is on its own line.
Apologies for my mailer...

Loading a FreeBSD 10 VM on QEMU-KVM..
I was trying to load a FreeBSD 10 VM on my CentOS 6.4 machine, and it keeps
hanging and not completing the boot. I have FBSD 9.x VM's running just
fine, but if I try and load 10.x it's a no go.
Attaching to the console using VNC, I see:

Old machine -
Hi guys
Can anyone give me any reason why BX should fail - tryig to
install FreeBSD 4.7 on an old machine from CDROM. The
machine loads a very old version of FreeBSD from hard drive
(password long forgotten) so it seems to be running OK - it
auto loads X windows - so the nachine seems to be running
fine.
Here is the output that I do not understand ;-( :

BTX halted on boot
Hi
We are experiencing a problem with one of our FreBSD 6.2 machines. The
machine has been running fine for months until we had to reboot it. Now
it doesn't boot anymore. After the boot loader we get what looks like a
register dump:

FreeBSD, BTX halted
Hi,
I try to full virtualize FreeBSD, and it does not boot.
I made a VNC screenshot, attached, and also made a
joint screenshot. I know about the bug, I am going to enforce (+1) that I also
encounter the bug.
Would you know any workaround?

More info about split-second message. RE: run FreeBSD "pxeboot" from pxelinux.0?
Hello...
In the split-second before the reboot, I can see that the pxeboot.0
process is indeed started-- pxeboot gets out just over 2 lines of text
before the reboot occurs.
So it's not a "ready" message.
The text in question is (without *'s):

pfSense HVM
Hi Everyone,
Does anybody have any experience using pfSense on Xen? I would most
probably have to use HVM...
My idea would be to use PCI-Passthrough to the pfsense DomU, and only
make the Dom0 accessable via the pfsense firewall
Thanks
Jonathan

[PATCH] qemu-xen: Fix open_disk for blktap disks
qemu-xen: Fix open_disk for blktap disks
If blktap drives are registered properly, qemu code is much less likely
to get confused by them. Use bdrv_new(), assign a device name and create
an entry in drives_table for them.
