The new Linux IGD support
Hello Tom, I tried the new UPnP support of shorewall, olny to stumble upon a LinuxIGD bug. Specificaly, the UPnP chain is read as UPn from the upnpd.conf . I double checked it, there some bug in the upnpd, it doesn''t process 4 lettered names correctly. Could you change this chains'' name to something a little longer? -- Costas Cavouracis <cca@freemail.gr> My PGP keys:

computation on the client instead of the server
Hello, I read the thesis about rsync and I would like to know if we can do something different with rsync. Imagine that I have one server that contains a set of data. This server is not very strong compare to the number of client that want to sync there data with the server. If we say that there s 1000 clients, each client, when sync, will send a list of keys to the server and the server must

Upnp ( linux-igd) on bering
Hi, I''m trying let the windows clients behind my leaf ( bering rc4) talk through msn messenger. I found linux-igd.sourceforge.net that seems to be the missing piece... I used the ideas from www.wix.net.nz/LEAF/glibc.html to build a leaf cd using the redhat 7.3 glibc ( It''s alot easier to test applications because I can simply copy the binary ( and the .so) on the bering

rules with multiple users/groups
Hi All, I''m using shorewall 4.0.15-1 on debian 5.0.5 and It works fine. I want to start using rules based on users. This is supported in the shorewall-rules file, However it seems that each rule can only be associated with one user or group. Does this mean that I cannot have a rule apply to several users which belong to several groups? Will creating duplicate rules for each user

texi2dvi / egrep issue shows (a.o.) up in R-alpha
L.S. I noticed weird tools::texi2dvi behaviour on R-alpha when specifying an absolute path to the .tex file. The same phenomenon also appears to occur on R-2.12.2, so maybe the issue is independent of R. I hope I did not overlook any important information. [LLVMdev] Register Coalescer does not preserve TargetFlag
Do you know any backend that implement instructions as a flag modifier in instruction ? [LLVMdev] Register Coalescer does not preserve TargetFlag
Hi, R600 hardware (Radeon gfx card) does neither have a NEG nor an ABS instruction ; however any sources operand can be negated/abs'd by setting a bit for every source operand in the final bytecode (but not DST). A good way of modeling this behavior in LLVM is by using TargetFlag on operand. Currently the R600 LLVM backend in Mesa lower NEG and ABS DAG instruction to a MOV + TargetFlag using

random errors "the local drive name is already in use. This connection has not been restored."
Hello, I have random errors that I can not analyze nor fix: when several users connect to the same Samba share, they get sometimes error messages "the local drive name is already in use. This connection has not been restored", although the connection is still usable afterwards. This sometimes breaks a file operation. Clients are running Windows 2000, and the server is a Solaris 8
