Questions when running WOW and other games in frames.
I have a numbers of questions. I know about half of them are probably program related (World of Warcraft) but I figured I'd group them together for the most part. First the states. I'm using a Dell Inspiron Laptop (their Ubuntu line). I reinstalled Linux myself (had to redo the partitions) and dual boot Ubuntu and Windows 7, Wow does work under Windows 7, but what's the fun in

Problem when trying to start Codemasters DiRT (GLX error)
Hi, my system is a Ubuntu 9.10, PulseAudio removed (using Alsa), a Nvidia 7800GTX (since my nice ATI 5870 was killed due to unknown reason with 80% of the components of my pc (only power supply and DVDburner survived)) however, I've downloaded the source of the actual wine build, and compiled it without errors or warnings and installed it using checkinstall. After that I tried to start

Wine & Wow
I'm experiencing problems with World of Warcraft. There two issues; First one is mouse lag on game. I found that "hardware cursor" can solve this problem. This is not so important. Second problem is the important one. When i start game, after playing like 2 minutes the frame rate decreases to ~0.1 frame per second. This means a huge lag is happening. This continues for at least 15

Problems running vanilla WoW
Heya, I'm new to all things linux and wine, so forgive my noobiness. I've installed World of Warcraft in wine by extracting the cds to the same directory and ran install.exe; that ran fine besides an error at the end saying that it couldn't add WOW to my add/remove programs. When I try to run it however from ~/.wine/drive_c/wow/WoW.exe I get the following: Code: # wine WoW.exe X
