PureEdge 6.5 Completed
After a few months of work with every available version of PureEdge, the PureEdge 6.5 windows installer with the latest build of wine does work. You can also use the latest version of CrossOver and get the same functionality. The riched20 has been problematic in the past, but without using the following winetricks, you will not get full functionality: corefonts riched20 Email, Print, Save and

Fitting my data to a Weibull model
Hi guys, I have a data-set that fits well into a Weibull model y = a-b*exp(-c*x^d). I want to estimate the parameters of the coefficients a, b, c and d, given x and y. Can you guys help me? Just as an example, I fit the data y <- c(1,2,3,4,10,20) and x <- c(1,7,14,25,29,30) According to this model above, and using the software CurveExpert, and I got the estimates of a (2.95),b (2.90),c

Interactive plots in R?
Hi all, As part of a research project we are creating a statistical software tool and will be using R as the computational engine. I was wandering whether we should also use R for plotting. R has a good plotting flexibility and an extensive library of available plot types. However, our application is supposed to give our users an advanced look-and-feel as well. For the plotting we will

anybody else had this problem since the CR updates?
I'm running Mate on my C7 boxen, a desktop and a netbook.\ Mate comes from epel, so it's probably not a CentOS problem, but lemme ask here in case anybody else has seen it: some tools (nm, pavucontrol, and possibly others I haven't noted down) no longer have the correct formatting on screen. there are no backgrounds, i.e., backgrounds that define areas of the screen by shading or

Slider controls
Heya! Thanks to Marty Haught, script.aculo.us (as of changeset 2281) now sports a new Control for horizontal and vertical sliders. See the functional test file (test/functional/slider_test.html) for information on how to use it. Basically, you do: <div id="track1" style="width:200px;background-color:#aaa;height:5px;"> <div id="handle1"

IE and the activeX security warning
I''ve been testing my page, which not only includes my new slider code but the drag and drop code as well. You can see it here: http://hoover.razorstream.com/preference.htm My issue is that in IE, I get the annoying security warning across the top saying ''IE has restricted this file from showing active content that could access your computer''. rails color picker?
Hello, Is there a color picker somewhere that is integrated with rails? Specifically a I''m hoping for a full 24-bit picker with sliders, etc, that can interact with rails objects, such as updating a form that rails has setup, or just injecting it''s chosen value into an input value that rails has set up to put back into an object after submission. Thanks, Avram

window "placement"
Using Thomas Baier's DCOM server I can do the following (in Windows 2000): I create a slider in Excel, and the sliders On_Change event triggers a call to R. This call redraws an R graph, and so I have animated R graphics controlled by Excel's slider. The problem is that Excel needs focus so i can grab the slider, and therefore it partially covers R's graph window. Is there a way to

Scroll bar arrows missing and behaviour change
I have done some Googling on this but everything I've found appears to be at least 2 years old and mostly refers to Gnome TBH, I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned it - maybe it's only happened to me. At some point over the last few months the behaviour of the scroll bars changed and I'm finding it very annoying. Firstly, the arrows have vanished. Secondly, when clicking

Resizeable
Has anyone done any work on a "Resizeable" class they''d be willing to share? I''m looking to do some stuff that''ll need resizable divs, but I didn''t want to re-invent the wheel if I can avoid it. -Jerod _______________________________________________ Rails-spinoffs mailing list Rails-spinoffs-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org

Extending a js class
It''s been a few days since I posted my last two emails (of which, no one replied to) so I''ve gone ahead and coded a working slider class as well as a ''resizeable'' class that allows a user to drag and resize the element. I also linked these two together as I want to have slider behavior that can resize the resizeable element. The end result is both the
