I have created a tree and want to save some of the data so that I can create a html table from it. I would like to save the output from data.ltr (see example below) to a file, but haven't found a way to do that, keeping the nice format that typing data.ltr gives me (see output below). Is there a way to do this? Example: library (maptree) library (tree)

Get rid of the Evidence on your computer....................................Now . . 4179
I was shocked at what I found. Files I shredded months earlier were clearly visible using this software. It's a fact Did you know......... For example that every click you make on Windows 98 Start Menu is logged and stored for ever on a hidden encrypted database within your own computer? your PC is keeping frightening records of both your online and off-line activity. Evidence Theory in R
Hello, well, I searched list-archive, cran and the references, but found nothing. Thus: Does anybody around here know anything about Dempster-Shafer Theory, Evidence Theory or Hints in R? Has anybody stumbled about a package that I overlooked or implemented something in this area? I really would like to not implement a hint-model a second time. My apologies if I missed something obvious, but I

Credit Scoring in R - Weight of Evidence
Dear List, I couldn't find any package that performs the "weight of evidence" of predictors (a transformation usually performed in credit scoring applications). Is there any that you know? Thanks, Axel. [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

hot keys
Hello. One thing I have been running under Wine is something called "Express Scribe", which is rather good gratis software for transcribing audio material. Up through 0.9.3, the program runs nicely but at install there are error messages about not being able to install hot keys. Probably this isn't surprising, so what I am really looking for is advice on how to work around it. In

comparing strength of association instead of strength of evidence?
Hi, I asked this question before, which was hidden in a bunch of questions. I repharse it here and hope I can get some help this time: I have 2 contingency tables which have the same group variable Y. I want to compare the strength of association between X1/Y and X2/Y. I am not sure if comparing p-values IS the way even though the probability of seeing such "weird" observation under H0

Submissions that include an entire previous digest
Colleagues, Today's digest (Volume 94, Issue 12) contained an entire copy of Digest, Vol 94, Issue 11. It appears that an inconsiderate poster (Message 39 in Issue 12) received the digest and clicked reply, thereby including the entire digest in his/her submission (> 6000 additional lines of text). This made it difficult to scroll through the digest efficiently. At minimum, posters

Re: printing tree results
Look at help(sink). I have figured out how to fix up draw.tree to do factor labels correctly and will be doing that in the next few days. Meanwhile I discovered that rpart() provides factor labels in a much more satisfactory way than tree() does. Because of this and because of the additional information rpart provides about the tree building, I recommend you switch to that. > I have created
