Re: Wine menus - rebuilding, deleting
Thanks for the work you did on this - I needed it to clean out some messy entries in Gnome after moving a $HOME structure to a newer Ubuntu release - the original menu's had their titles messed up in ~/.local/share/applications/ I rewrote your script to use shell constructs instead of 'find'. I've copied it here for others to play with. Code: #!/bin/sh wine="wine"

Hi all, I created as little script to run wine and automatically log the output and some basic information to a file. It can be downloaded from here: http://www.mohag.net/wine_with_log How to use: 1. Download (or create) it somewhere and set it executable. wget http://www.mohag.net/wine_with_log chmod +x wine_with_log 2. Run application with wine_with_log rather than wine 3. Logs can be found

Individual Wineprefixes
Hello, I am looking for a way to create an individual wine rpm of the actual src.rpm. My goal is a new winepfrefix, that is created when a user is logging in, that contains additional win-programs. But I did not find the path in the wine...tar.gz file, where the wineprefix is located. can someone help me? Is this even possible? Because that would be an easy way to supply a programm for all users

Running Wine on Win64
Hi all I'm wondering if it would be possible to run Wine on Win64 ("x64") to allow Win16 apps to be run? Preferably a native 64-bit binary, using mostly native DLLs. (Services for Unix / Subsystem for Unix based Applications might help for getting Wine compiled) It might be a great way to get more users and developers for Wine. Regular Windows releases of the DirectX 10 DLL's

multiple users on LINUX - way to share a single .wine
Basically, I'd like to have just one .wine dir on my file system that multiple users on LINUX can share thus allowing me to keep a single install of my windows apps. The default is to install to /home/CURRENT_USER/.wine so I'm wondering, as long as the LINUX users are in the same group, can I relocate the .wine dir to say, /home/share/.wine and update the wineconfig? I just started using

How does Wine extract icons?
I've researched on Google, Wine's wikki and Wine's forum, but I did not find how exactly does Wine to extract the icons from the exe binaries. The only thing that I've found are mentions to third party programs, but anything about Wine itself. May anyone bring some light about the subject? Thanks.

Wine and Gnome menus...
Hi all, I've spent several days tinkering with Wine and have uncovered what seems to be a mess: Menus in Gnome for Wine applications... I'm running Debian 4.0 (Etch) with a few backports, and Gnome 2.14.3. I've progressed from the version of Wine that's in the Etch repositories, 0.9.25-2.1, through the one in backports, 1.0-rc1-1, to the current 1.1.1 from the WineHQ

Counter Strike Source Won't load.
Okay so I have just installed Fedora 16 64-bit. Coming from a Ubuntu user I'm well aware that counter strike source works great under linux. I've been trying to get it to work but every time I try to load it, it loads for a moment and then crashes. I have the proprietary AMD ATI drivers for my ATI Radeon HD 5750. They seem to be rendering fine according to the debugger. I'm currently
