Fable breaks from wine 1.1.10 to 1.1.11
Hi, I guess I should open a bug in bugzilla. Some questions: I installed 1.1.10 and 1.1.11 through PlayOnLinux. Does this make a difference for the bug reporting? I have the output from the terminal (backtrace below). What could I do to provide more useful information? I suppose the next step would be to do a bisect but I've never done it and I suspect I'll need quite a bit of time.

Fable crashes
I followed the installation instructions in AppDB but when I press New Game the game crashes. I'm using 1.1.15 in ubuntu 8.10 and it is reported that the game runs in 1.1.5. I tried in two machines both with NVidia cards (7600GT and a 9600GT). What I get running from terminal is below. Is there anything I can try out? I've tried also the "safe mode" from Fable which switches off

Mouse Cursor drifts in some directx games
Hello, I am currently attempting to run some windows games through wine, specifically Fable - The Lost Chapters and The Elder Scrolls III - Morrowind and I am experiencing problems with my cursor drifting during game play. When I start the game (as soon as the menu screen) the mouse is initially stable, but after I move the mouse it will begin to drift vertically down at a constant speed

Dovecot under brute force attack - nice attacker
Hi List, optimizing the configuration on one of our servers (which was hit by a brute force attack on dovecot) showed an odd behavior. The short story: On one of our servers an attacker did a brute force attack on dovecot (pop3). Since the attacker closed and reopened the connection after every user/password combination the logs showed many lines like this: dovecot: pop3-login: Aborted

Allow reopening on Phabricator
If you can find out whether it's possible with the latest phab, I can update our instance. Allow reopening on Phabricator
From an unrelated thread: > ... This will need to be fixed before we can commit the patch. Since Phabricator automatically closed http://reviews.llvm.org/D12761 <http://reviews.llvm.org/D12761>, I've created a new revision. The attached diff is a very a slightly modified version of your original patch ... I have wanted to reopen a Phabricator revision too many times already, but

Help with debugging Fable
So I'm trying to get Fable working, and after going through the various things that I had found on the 'net, it's still not working. So I am wondering what else I could do? I installed DirectX 9, Windows Media Player, and Fable itself without much trouble. The game boots and goes through the splashscreen and opening animation, and then quits. I looked briefly through the output on the

Permission denied when logrotating dovecot.log
Well, I tried the same but it didn't work. Setting my dovecot.log to 600 with root:root is breaking my mail system. I am then unable to receive and open emails. Had to apply an ugly hack /var/log/dovecot*.log { su syslog syslog create 666 syslog syslog rotate 10 ... } Like that anyone who wants to access/write to it, can do it and all works. That's my

R 'arima' discrepancies
Rob J Hyndman gives great explanation here (https://robjhyndman.com/hyndsight/estimation/) for reasons why results from R's arima may differ from other softwares. @iacobus, to cite one, 'Major discrepancies between R and Stata for ARIMA' (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/22443395/major-discrepancies-between-r-and-stata-for-arima), assign the, sometimes, big diferences from R
