Unban from #vorbis?
I wasn't sure where else to ask, so I'm asking here. I was banned from #vorbis for 24 hours supposedly for "trolling," about three weeks ago, by Emmett. I guess he got removed from the team soon after, because I'm still banned. I seemed to be Emmett's favorite person to pick on. He told me to "eat a bag of dick" in his Ogg internet radio station thing, and

faI2ban detecting and banning but nothing happens
I've followed one of the pages on line specifically for installing fail2ban on Centos 7 and all looks fine. I've added a fail regex to /etc/fail2ban/filter.d/exim.conf as suggested on another page: \[<HOST>\]: 535 Incorrect authentication data which appears to be successfully matchnig lines in /var/log/exim/mail.log such as 2019-04-19 13:06:10 dovecot_plain

kernels and irc
I was in the #centos-social channel and simply stated that I noticed CentOS 3-4 were getting a lot of updates. I also stated that the CentOS 5 was one kernel behind, as in RHEL it is at -53, the gentlemen then told me that I was wrong and it was at -21. I then asked if there was a way to get a progress report somehow on 5.2, and that 5.2 has already upgraded that kernel. The result was that I was

fail2ban logrotate failure
I got the fail2ban from epel. There were a number of issues relating to using a log file... logwatch was looking for both fail2ban and fail2ban.log logrotate file fail2ban added looked for fail2ban.log and then reset itself to syslog fail2ban itself went to syslog, over riding its fail2ban.log. took a while, but I use /var/log/fail2ban now, that finally worked through logrotates and logwatch.

Compiz not working properly using nvidia twinview
Hi, I am running ubuntu 7.10 gutsy, and I have compiz working on one monitor ( a bit slow though ). When I add twinview to the mix compiz still comes up, and sort of works but: 1. I loose the background and it is replace by all white 2. The second monitor draws about 30% of the new white background, then it ends with a bit of a shadow, and then it continues with black 3.

TwinView (on NVIDIA graphics card)?
Hi, Is anyone here using TwinView with NVIDIA graphics drivers under CentOS 5? Just tried this configuration (I've been using dual monitors as separate X screens in the past), and while it works in a sense, there are a few issue that will probably prevent me from using it for real. Notably, which screen new applications start on (when using the Applications menu or panel launchers) seems to

Setting Resolution Modes in xorg.conf
I asked on the Gentoo forums, and surprisingly haven't gotten an answer. When I run xrandr, I get this output: Code: Screen 0: minimum 2960 x 1050, current 2960 x 1050, maximum 2960 x 1050 default connected 2960x1050+0+0 0mm x 0mm 2960x1050 50.0* I'm using TwinView with a 1680x1050 monitor and a 1280x1024 monitor. And I want to set up some different modes in xrandr. When

asterisk and fail2ban
Is anyone using asterisk with fail2ban? I have it working except it takes way more break-in attempts than what is set in "maxretry" in jail.conf For example, I get an email saying: "The IP 199.204.45.19 has just been banned by Fail2Ban after 181 attempts against ASTERISK." when "maxretry = 5" in jail.conf Perhaps someone else is experiencing this or has resolved it,

Blocking attacks from a range of IP addresses
I am being attacked by an entire subnet where the first two parts of the IP address remain identical but the last two parts vary sufficiently that it is not caught by fail2ban since the attempts do not meet the cut-off of a certain number of attempts within the given time. Has anyone created a fail2ban filter for this type of attack? As of right now, I have manually banned a range of IP addresses

Multi-monitor TwinView DirectX wierdness
I'm hoping somebody can tell me how to fix this. I use Altium Designer 10 with Wine on Fedora 14. I'm using nVidia TwinView with a GeForce GTS450. What happens is that when I have the window on my left screen, I have 3D acceleration, but the GDI text overlays disappear. When I move the window to the right hand screen, I lose 3D acceleration, but my GDI text overlays (PCB trace net names)

How can we improve WNE?
Hello everybody. I'm a (quite) happy WINE user, but i would like to propose some things to the WINE developers. Something important imo, is that it must be easy to use for the user, and some things could be better, here are some ideas to improve it by using Winecfg: 1. Add an option to disable/enable/edit debug channels for all programs. As you may know, a lot of programs runs faster

X11 device distortion (PR#10666)
Full_Name: Thomas Zumbrunn Version: 2.6.1 OS: GNU/Linux (openSuse 10.3 2.6.22.13-0.3-default) Submission from: (NULL) (131.152.125.199) With my particular X11 settings, the width to height ratio of the x11 device is distorted, with the width being half that of the height. This results in wrongly proportioned plots, wrongly positioned text etc. Other devices are not affected. I already asked
