WoW - WotLK - install is a hassle :(
Very disappointing on the install so far. The files are on the disk in some format that is only letting me see two of the 'some number more than two' files that are there. One of the files I can see is and Install.exe but it does nothing when double clicked, nothing when I right click and select 'Open with "Wine Windows Program Loader"'. When I try to run it from a

IPv6 docs, howtos, descriptions
I know...google...BUT: Does someone has good howtos, docs, descriptions, opinions in forums, or similar things about IPv6 and "related things"? I just think it would be a very good idea to collect some links about it... Regards, and thank you in anticipation -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Gluster 11.0 upgrade
Hi again Xavi, I did some more testing on my virt machines with same setup: Number of Bricks: 1 x (2 + 1) = 3 If I do it the same way, I upgrade the arbiter first, I get the same behavior that the bricks do not start and the other nodes does not "see" the upgraded node. If I upgrade one of the other nodes (non arbiter) and restart glusterd on both the arbiter and the other the arbiter

Shorewall FAQ Wiki Online, nearly complete...
Hello, Mike Noyes and myself have populated http://wiki.rettc.com with the shorewall FAQ. This wiki is running MediaWiki, http://www.mediawiki.org. Currently, a couple items are not complete. I have just begun a heavy semester of mathematics/physics studies, and do not have much time to give to this. But, it is online, and seems to be stable. I will keep an eye out for abuse, and limit

Apache mod_perl cross site scripting vulnerability
Hello, I've failed latest PCI scan because of CVE-2009-0796. Centos 6.7. The Red Hat Security Response Team has rated this issue as having moderate security impact and bug as wontfix. Cursor lag: Mac High Sierra, R 3.4.2, Macbook Air 2017
Hi, I'm running High Sierra on a new "2017" Macbook Air. I upgraded R from a previous version (3.2 or 3.3 ?) and now there is a huge lag on the curser in the R command window itself and in script files. I am not using RStudio. There is a page on GitHub detailing the same problem currently when using Rstudio. I have no idea whether this problem is related or not. Cheers Kevin

WoW + Wine + Twinview = Annoying jumping cursor
Ok, this isn't really a simple thing to describe so I'll state the basic problem first and things I've noticed that are most likely associated with it. The problem is while playing World of Warcraft on a Twinview activated X-Server, the camera will do random jumps around my character when the mouse is clicked. Now by 'random' I actually mean a few things: 1. This

Help please
Hi, My PBX/key system failed when building power was switched off and then back on. The service rep says the PBX unit is so old that it is not repairable. The unit has 8 incoming POTS lines and 12 multiline sets. There are voice mailboxes on each line. Switching to Qwest's Centrex system would cost about $3800/yr. My 8 business lines now cost $3320/yr, so the Centrex increment would

Replace faulty host
Hi Markus, It looks quite well documented, but please use?https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_gluster_storage/3.5/html/administration_guide/sect-replacing_hosts?as 3.5?is the latest version for RHGS. If the OS disks are failing, I would have tried?moving the data disks to the new machine and transferring the gluster files in /etc and /var/lib to the new node. Any reason to reuse

WOW patch downloads hang
Latest Wine version, Debian Lenny, fast computer. The previous pre-patch download finally finished (300+ MB in about 4 hours. The current one (about same size) stops at 72% (273 MB). I have "Don't throttle download" checked. Also "peer-to-peer transfer". That sounds like some kind of bit torrent. I don't use that. Because this process appears to be done in Wine, does

WOW "fixes"
I've run across the following two articles on the wow wiki. The first link is the general page for Linux/Wine. The sound and voice chat is what I'm most interested in about the second link. Can anyone comment on how current and useful these tips are? It's nice to know that Blizzard knows about and actually seems to "care" about Linux users, but I really do NOT want to break

WoW hardware cursor hack, Eve virtual desktops & CSS voice.
Wine 1.2-rc2 Ubuntu 9.10 I'm following instructins on tweaking World of Warcraft and wondering if a hardware cursor hack referenced under 'Step 2: Configuring' at http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=17421 would have any adverse effects on other games? Would I need to edit it to account for the fact I already have Wine 1.2-rc2 installed from the Wine
