Mac Darwine "Open With" file suffix association
Hello,
Core question: How do I tell files with a given suffix to open an .exe app on the Mac so they'll run it via Darwine?
I just successfully installed Darwine and then made a desktop alias to the Avaya Voice Mail Player by showing all hidden files in the Finder, using Make Alias, and copying that alias to the desktop.
This Avaya windows app plays .lvp audio voicemail files. How can I

Noob problems with Darwine
I've installed darwine 1.1.9 on my mac. I've read all of the tutorials and forums that I could find but I'm still not able to solve my problem. I imagine I must be missing something that's so obvious that it doesn't even make its way into a tutorial.
I can't run programs. If I start winehelper and try to run a program (say regedit.exe) I get the errors at the end of

Darwine: Running an SDL game
Hi all
I'm trying to play the game "BOH" (http://www.bohthegame.com/) on OS X using Darwine. I downloaded 1.1.19 and dragged the Darwine folder to /Applications. Then I opened the BOH installer using WineHelper and installed the game. For some reason it put the installed files inside the WineHelper application bundle. When I tried to open the game's executable using WineHelper,

Darwine issues
I am trying to use darwine 1.1.7 on 10.5.5 and am having issues. I downloaded the package from thisismyinter.net and is doesn't run anything, including the sample winelib applications. However, when I use the version from http://www.kronenberg.org/darwine/ it runs just fine. I have XQuartz 2.3.1 as well. This started recently, I can't remember what did it. Here is a link to the output when

Wine Mac OSX Questions
If I'm reading http://thisismyinter.net/?p=29 correctly, there is no
"current" (post 0.9.53) build for Tiger? Is a newer build available
from a different site?

Firefox 3 Darwine Errors
Just completed a fresh install of Darwine 1.0b and Xquartz to fix some application issues and discovered when I downloaded and installed the Windows version of Firefox I get the following series of errors. This is a partial log since the errors just continue as long as Firefox is open until either WineHelper crashes or Firefox crashes. I have manually downloaded Flash from the adobe site, it

Helpful Hints for OS X Users (Idiots Guide?)
Hello,
I have been busy working away at getting Darwine to run on OS X with no luck... I tried uninstalling and reinstalling many times, but I was continually getting gdi32.dll errors.
This guide was tested on OS X Leopard 1.5.6. The following guide is how I set it up. The steps may vary slightly for you. Be sure to read this whole thread before actually trying some of the things listed here,

FIFA09 Error in DarWine
Hi I'm using DarWine, the Kronenberg package and I've tried to install FIFA09.
I did everything as instructed, typed in my cd-key, had it install in the C Drive.
After installation though, I couldn't find the FIFA09 nor the EA Sports folder anywhere. There was, though, a shortcut on my desktop. Upon running the application from the shortcut, I got a message saying "FIFA09.exe

gdi32.dll error
Hello,
I encounter the same problem on MacOSX 10.5.6, either using X11
supplied with Leopard, or X11 2.3.3.2 (XQuartz) and Xcode 3.1.2. It
appears using Darwine 1.1.21 from Kronenberg, Darwine 1.1.7 from
thisismyinter.net, or the lastest wine-1.1.21, compiled from source.
The only way to use wine is to installed wine stable from MacPorts or
the Kronenberg's 1.1.21. Hardly, it

DarWine & OpenGL
Hi,
For the past 3 months I have been trying to get wine working well, but have hit several obstacles.
I am on a Mac 10.5.7, using X11 2.3.3.2 from Xquartz, and using Kroneberg's Darwine builds.
The issues:
I can't seem to get OpenGL working or DirectX.
I sometimes have problems where I launch an exe, and the program runs as if it cannot "see" any other files in the same folder.

Xrender and OpenGL troubles in Darwine
Hey all,
I'm very new to Wine, but I was very excited about the potential behind it, so I tried installing the 2.2.3 X11 XQuartz package from http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/Releases and kronenberg.org/darwine 's stable 1.0 version of Darwine on my Macbook that is running Leopard 10.5.3. The installs were easy, but I'm having some difficulty now with actually getting some

Dot Net 2.0 Functionality
All:
With my own Wine for MacOSX build based on Mike Kronenberg's build
environment 1.1.15, .NET 2.0 installs with the usual error and I'm able
to run FastMD5 without adding any code. Onto the programs that I know I
had problems with.
This is a great improvement over previous Wine versions.

Cant use Darwine on PPC with 10.5 Leopard
Hi all,
ill start off by saying that I've tried reading and doing everything that was on the documentation. I'm not very code/C++ literate.
I have a Power PC Macintosh that I run Mac OSX 10.5 Leopard with.
I'm going through all this trouble to run 1 simple program, Soulseek.
I downloaded Darwine 0.9.27 DP.
When i try to run any program, soulseek, notepad/clock that came with

Passing arguments from the command line to apps on Mac OS X (Darwine and CrossOver)
Hi all,
There's a Windows application I've been running (called "WinBUGS.exe") on an
intel Mac OS X (ver. 10.5.5) using both Darwine and CrossOver Pro. My
application runs fine under Darwine and also under CrossOver. However, in
spite of being able to run these applications using either platform from the
command line, I still cannot pass arguments to the application. What I want

Re: Window Scrolling on OSX
I did read something about the Qartzdriver, supposedly by the guy who originated Darwine, but was built for older version of Wine... Don't know if there's current work being done on it.
WineHelper is a step in the right direction, but ideally when Wine works better, it shouldn't open various log windows, process windows, and whatnot (while being available for debugging), and X11

Strange: Application starts up only when Wine is force-quit
I have used Wine for Mac (Darwine 1.01) on my Leopard 10.5.6 for some time. It's generally been running my Windows programs well.
But now I have a problem: I install a language dictionary program and it only starts up and runs when (and only when) I right-click on WineHelper icon on Dock and choose Quit, and then again but this time with Force Quit. In other words, the dictionary application
