Modal dialogs getting out of focus
Hello, it is really nice to be here with the wonderful Wine community. Modal window gets out of focus if minimized and blocks any actions in the main window. I've attached and example created in Delphi called Project1. It has Form1 window with action button which opens a modal dialog called Form2. The main idea is when opened Form2 to be always on top and to be impossible to hide it behind

Weird Keystroke Errors
Here is my system Fedora 10 Avant Stellar Keyboard (uses Northgate Omnikey 101 layout) wine 1.1.14, 1.1.15, and 1.1.16 Problem: While in game, doesn't matter which, I've tried this with World of Warcraft, and Counter-strike. Hello Earl, I used your patches while they cleanly applied to the Git tree. There is one question though, what do you think of?. http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=84086&st=0&p=782407&#entry782407 which apparently states (if I understand correctly) that your approach is not completely correct. Kind regards, Michael -------------- next part -------------- An

Mike, I'm not an expert at DSP work, and I'd gladly defer to any one with any reasonable amount of DSP experience. I followed the link, but I'm not sure how to interpret the graph exactly. I believe it's showing filter behaviour. The two curves look similar, but are clearly not the same. At the 1kHz mark, the blue shows -23, and the green shows perhaps 17.? Are they supposed to

Erik, Ok. I've updated the patches, and made some additions to the test harness. For the test harness, I used sox to generate 1kHz wav files over a range of sampling rates. The test harness runs the replaygain analysis, and compares the resulting metadata. Are you ok with this approach ?? It means that the wav files need to be checked into the repository. (There are already some small image

Erik, One per filter table entry. That's 12 files right now. The files could be generated on the fly, but that would either require another program or script (eg Perl), or a dependence on an external toolkit such as sox. The tests increase the runtime of test_metaflac.sh from 11s to 15s on my machine. What are your thoughts ? Earl ----- Original Message ----- From: Erik de Castro Lopo

I'm a little reluctant to introduce another compiled program when there are so many other options that will work well enough out of the box. Here are two ideas: 1. Use bc(1) to compute the raw samples 2. Use perl(1) to compute the raw samples To generate raw unsigned samples using bc(1) for example: samplerate = 1000; duration = 2; bitspersample = 24; samplerange = 2 ^ (bitspersample-1) -

Erik, It turns out bc(1) is too accurate, and a little slow, for this purpose. I've switched to using awk(1) which uses floating point. Do you feel I need to test for the presence of awk(1) ? It is specified as one of the standard commands in the LSB : http://refspecs.linuxfoundation.org/LSB_1.0.0/gLSB/command.html Earl ??? awk -- ' ??? BEGIN { ??????????? samplerate = 8000;

What about using the C library sin() and cos() functions to generate the test audio instead of sox? I did not see a description of how the test files are generated, so maybe this is easy or maybe it is hard. The benefit of shipping the test audio generation source code around with the FLAC sources is that the tests won't break when sox is modified. Brian Willoughby Sound

Regain play analysis patches
Hi all, In the last couple of months, there have been two proposed patches for the regain play analysis code. The first by Nathan Rennie-Waldock: http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/flac-dev/2011-December/003070.html simply adds some more higher sample rates. The second by Earl Chew: http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/flac-dev/2012-January/003067.html is more comprehensive. Neither of the

Language learning program (Spanish to Go)
Hi, I've tried installing a language learning program in Wine, but can't get it to work. Actually, it's a pretty old program, designed to run in Windows 3.1 or 95 (!), so I thought it would be OK - it seems to install OK, but won't run - the diagnostics are below - any ideas please? Modal Window Stealing Elements from Form. Need Elegant Solution.
I''m using Prototype.js with Control.modal to create a modal window on my IPB Forum which takes all the various topic posting/replying/ editing options and places them into a Modal window. The inherent nature of this action is to take the contents of whatever DIV I told Control.Modal to make a modal window out of and place the entire innerHTML of that DIV into a separate DIV outside the

"sticky" modifier keys issue when wine loses focus
When running a program in wine, and I use a hotkey combo to either switch desktops or open another program (example: to bring forward my fullscreen terminal), the modifier keys are still depressed, according to wine, when I switch back to the wine window. I did some tests, and found that when switching desktops away from wine with a hotkey with modifiers, and then switching back with a method

Program loses focus
I am using Ubuntu 10.04, currently with Wine v.1.2.2. I have installed a program called NoteTab Pro, which is listed in the Wine database as running just fine for the most part. And it has ran fine for years under Wine 1.0 (which I was running until recently doing a new install of Ubuntu 10.04, which uses 1.2.2). There was a minor glitch or two but I got used to them. However, now, running under

Forms lost focus in KDE

Every time you close a form or a dialog the application main form becomes the active one. This only happend in KDE, allowing windows manager to control the
