Mailing list question.
Hello list! I've just subscribed to this mailing list and I have just
one question right now. Does the subject line of each message always
contain [Wine] in it? Just asking so that I can set up a filter to sort
these messages to a separate folder in TBird.

installation of WISO07 failed
hello,
I use wine 1.0-rc3 on a SuSE Linux 10.3;
trying to install WISO07, I was asked whether
Windows Media Player 9 was available,
and if not if it should be first installed;
I decided to install WMP9 first, and got a list
of errors and fixme (see here under);
but the installation seemed to be ok;
then I restarted the installation of WISO07 under wine
but got a typical Windows error message

ISDN and DVO
I'm looking at setting up an ISDN internet service for someone, and
she'd like to be able to do VoIP. The modem (230kbps serial and 2 POTS
ports) you get from the ISP can do DVO (Dynamic Voice Override) where
you can be online at 128kbits/sec (2 channels), but if a voice call is
detected (call waiting signalled via the D channel I guess) or if you
want to make a call out, one of the

Vorbis in Windows Media Player 9, (partial) success
As I said on http://wiki.xiph.org/ClientSupport
I managed to get WMP9 under Windows 2003 to work with OGG vorbis files.
Requisite : OggDS 0.9.9.5
- they can be opened with the Open... dialog and WMP does not complain any
more that it is an unsupported file format
- they can be dragged from explorer into WMP and WMP will play them without
any complaint
- they can be added to the media library.

What is the timeframe for the L2 switching to be incorporated into the Xen

Windows Media Player Crashes
I installed windows media player 9 with winetricks.
It worked but no sound.
I tried downloading and installing WMP10 and now it will briefly open like 2 secs and then disappear. It does this every time i try to open.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling WMP9 but it also does this open and crash now.
I am using Ubuntu 10.10 and was using wine 1.3 but went back to 1.2 thinking that may have

PowerPoint + video problem
Greetings, gentlemen.
I'm trying to make videos play in PowerPoint 2007. I've installed Windows Media Player via winetricks.
When I add video into PowerPoint, only sound plays.
I tried to install K-Lite Codec pack. In WMP some videos were playing OK, however PowerPoint crashed during video insertion into presentation.
When I removed K-Lite, PowerPoint crashes no more but again I can

32-bit Wine on 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04?
Hello!
Installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit today, then wine, and found out that programs are now installed in directories like Program Files or Program Files (x86).
It seems like I have 64-bit Wine or something?..
Then I want to get a 32-bit ver of Wine on my 64-bit OS.
That may sound stupid, but I think some of my programs stopped working because of this.
When I tried installing WMP9 through

Crash on opening mailbox
Hi!
dovecot -n and backtrace are both attached in my original email, due to their
size. Did the attachments not arrive?
The relevant log does not contain much more than the trace, but here it is:

Running the game "Memento Mori" - "Windows Media Video..."
Another day, another game.
I mounted the image of a game called "Memento Mori", a german adventure game.
The installer was not exactly working perfect ("please enter (...) in .ini or something" where the name of the game, the installation folder etc. normally stands), but it worked.
Even the game seemed to start at first, but after a few seconds it crashes.

mail_location in userdb inconsistent with imap and pigeonhole
Hi!
I'm still fighting with lost mails and what I think is a locking
problem.
As I've lost some pretty important mails already, I decided to mitigate
my troubles by moving to maildir format, which should not be susceptible
to these problems.
I read the docs and wanted to test on my account, before I mess with all
the others and possibly break something. The way to do it seems to be to

Windows Media Player 11
Hello,
I am trying to run Windows Media Player 11 on WINE and I cant. This is the only software that I need to be windows free since my university posts the lecture videos in WMP 11 DRM format and I cant view them if I dont have WMP11 installed.
It asks for windows genuine verification. Anybody can help? I have wine 1.1.12.
Thanks in advance.

Pigeonhole/sieve possibly corrupting mails
Hi!
I'm here again with a problem. I'm using dovecot as an IMAP server and
LDA, filtering mail via sieve. However, few times a day I get the
following error on server and my client (mutt) gets disconnected.

Wine 1.1.7: Sound regression?
I have recently formatted my system in order to install Intrepid Ibex, and I am now using it with Wine 1.1.7. I did a backup of the prefixes of the games I was using in Hardy / Wine up to 1.1.5, and imported them in my new installment. The games work normally, but the sound is crackling all the time for each of them; something which was not happening in my former installment. I have not noticed
