evolution of Nelder-Mead process
Dear list,
I am looking for an R-only implementation of a Nelder-Mead process that can find local maxima of a spatially distributed variable, e.g. height, on a spatial grid, and outputs the coordinates of the new point during each evaluation. I have found two previous threads about this topic, and was wondering if something similar has been implemented since those messages were posted.

RBloomberg - Converting international stock prices into $US
To all:
I'm using RBloomberg to pull historical equity prices across a range of
international markets. Bloomberg defaults to returning stock prices to
R in local currency, for example,
blpGetData(conn, "ALUA AR Equity", "PX_LAST",start="09/30/08",
end="09/30/08")
returns a stock price in Argentine Peso's. If ones use the BLPH
function directly

FYI: G723.1 Licensing Prices
Licensing info for the G723.1 codec, direct from the holding company
that licenses the codec.
http://www.dspg.com/technology/LicensePricing.html
As you can see they want a LOT of money. This is why I doubt there will
ever be G.723.1 codec available fro Asterisk.

Cisco 7960 backlight update and prices.

The colour of the backlight:-

On/Off Status, I've put some thought into this and think the light should come on in the following circumstances:-

using zoo for daily stock prices
Hi all,
Please forgive this newbie posting to the list for the first time if I
haven't followed proper procedure. I have read through many of the archives
and find them most useful in learning R.
I have ten years daily data (stock closing prices) which I read in zoo
format. I am having problems coding R to run a count of how many days in
each month have a price higher than the first day

Simple plot of IR and option prices
Hi,
I'm trying to construct what I think should be a fairly simple plot,
yet I'm having a tremendously difficult time. I'm trying to create a
very simple graph showing the effect of interest rates on option
prices. I have three sets of option prices that I've calculated
