mongrel error on debian sarge
Hi,
I cannot get mongrel working on i686 debian sarge, whereas it works
quite well on another ppc box under debian unstable.
Instead I can use scgi_rails or webbrick without any problem.
Here is the error:

Mongrel Web Server 0.3.12 -- Finally Out
Hello Folks,
This is the long awaited (like 2 weeks) 0.3.12 release of Mongrel. This
release has received heavier testing than previous releases and supports a
whole raft of improvements to existing functionality plus some new stuff.
For those not clued in, Mongrel is a web server written in (mostly) Ruby.
Check the funny dogs and read the docs about it at
http://mongrel.rubyforge.org/. The

Installing on OS X
Hi,
I''ve just installed Mongrel 3.12.4 on OS X, and had one little
difficulty: I kept getting an error message saying that HTTPHandler
didn''t exist, maybe it was Mongrel, I don''t remember. Turns out that
there was a lot more missing than that, so it doesn''t really matter.
What was happening is that http11 was not installing and the "require

Win32 Gem Dependencies
Yeah I just noticed that the latest mongrel gem for win32 doesn''t have
the proper dependency for ''daemons''. This of course causes the require
to fail. Any chance at getting this fixed for future gems? :)

Windows Server 2003 - Cygwin - Apache 2.0 - Rails 1.2.3 -- httpd.so "permission denied"
I''m new to Rails and Mongrel and I''m trying to get mongrel running
for the first time.
I''m running Rails 1.2.3 under Cygwin on Windows Server 2003 (SP1)
with Apache 2.0. The Rails apps works fine when proxied through
Apache and running under WebRick, but Mongrel seems unhappy about
something. The Apache service is running as the "Local System" user

Broken installation of mongrel 0.3.13.4 on Sun OS 5.9
Hi,
Anyone succeeded in installing Mongrel on Sun Solaris? It looks like the
installation is broken. I have started using Mongrel recently and not sure
where to look when something is missing.
First the file http11.so was not installed in
/usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/mongrel-0.3.13.4/lib
I''ve resolved that and when tried to start mongrel from the command line I

rbx gem
Hello. Some time ago I committed a Rubinius assembly-based HTTP parser
generated from Ragel to the Rubinius git repository. Yesterday I made a
Mongrel gem which installs and works on Rubinius. This basically involved
commenting out anything to do with fastthread or the http11 C extension.
If there''s interest in releasing a Rubinius-targeted gem, I can make changes
to the Rakefile to

Ebb Web Server
Hello Mongrel Users,
I''m writing a web server called Ebb. It''s written in C, makes use of
the Mongrel HTTP parser, and uses libev its event loop. The goal is to
be small, fast, and language independent server that can host web
frameworks. I have written a small Ruby binding which provides a Rack
handler - this will allow Ebb to host Rails, Merb, and other Ruby
frameworks. In the

tomcat still sees jvm version 1.4.2 in Cent OS 5
i chose to install tomcat during the OS install as well as java....however, since I needed to use a different jvm, i used the method described in http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/JavaOnCentOS for Sun jdk 1.5.0_13 and it worked fine as I can tell, as using the alternatives --config java command, i see both 1.4.2 and 1.5.0 versions and choosing the 1.5.0 version yields the right version when doing a
