[PATCH][XEND]Fix memory allocation for VTi domain with new Qemu on xen-unstagle.hg
Due to IA64 balloon driver not ready and it depends on max memory value to allocate its memory. So this fix is necessary now. [PATCH][QEMU] Add IA64-specific code for new qemu.
This patch adds the ia64-specific code for new Qemu . In addition, some ia64 patches aren''t checked into xen-unstable.hg, so I reversed the related logic temporarily. Once sync with xen-ia64-unstable.hg, the logic will regain automatically. Thanks & Best Regards -Xiantao OTC,Intel Corporation _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list

[PATCH RFC V6 0/5] kvm : Paravirt-spinlock support for KVM guests
The 5-patch series to follow this email extends KVM-hypervisor and Linux guest running on KVM-hypervisor to support pv-ticket spinlocks, based on Xen's implementation. One hypercall is introduced in KVM hypervisor, that allows a vcpu to kick another vcpu out of halt state. The blocking of vcpu is done using halt() in (lock_spinning) slowpath. Note: 1) patch is based on 3.4-rc3 + ticketlock

[PATCH 00/11] Add virtual EPT support Xen.
From: Zhang Xiantao <xiantao.zhang@intel.com> With virtual EPT support, L1 hyerpvisor can use EPT hardware for L2 guest''s memory virtualization. In this way, L2 guest''s performance can be improved sharply. According to our testing, some benchmarks can show > 5x performance gain. PCI device assignment to guests
The main change from the patches I sent out earlier this week is support for guests that use the PIC. A callback for PIC irq ack handling is also introduced. Currently, there's no mechanism to register/unregister callers to the irq ack callbacks, but they can be added when there's more than one user for the functionality. Please review.

More virtio users
It is worthwhile, when designing virtio, to keep in mind as many possible users as possible. In addition to block and net, I see at least the following: - vmgl (paravirtualized 3D graphics) [http://www.cs.toronto.edu/~andreslc/xen-gl/] - scsi (for tape, cd writer, etc.) - framebuffer (with just one request to share the framebuffer?) There are probably more. Any ideas? -- error compiling

[PATCHv2] x86info: dump kvm cpuid's
The following makes 'x86info -r' dump hypervisor leaf cpu ids (for kvm this is signature+features) when running in a vm. On the guest we see the signature and the features: eax in: 0x40000000, eax = 00000000 ebx = 4b4d564b ecx = 564b4d56 edx = 0000004d eax in: 0x40000001, eax = 0100007b ebx = 00000000 ecx = 00000000 edx = 00000000 Hypervisor flag is checked to avoid output changes when

architecture-specific stuff in xend
Hi Ewan, I''m almost ready to integrate some PPC-specific stuff into xend, and I was wondering if you had a plan for how that should work. First example: the device tree data structure we talked about a few weeks ago. We will need to pass the config data to PPC code, probably in XendDomainInfo.initDomain(), and then pass the resulting data structure into libxc''s xc_linux_load()

[PATCH RFC V9 0/19] Paravirtualized ticket spinlocks
This series replaces the existing paravirtualized spinlock mechanism with a paravirtualized ticketlock mechanism. The series provides implementation for both Xen and KVM. Changes in V9: - Changed spin_threshold to 32k to avoid excess halt exits that are causing undercommit degradation (after PLE handler improvement). - Added kvm_irq_delivery_to_apic (suggested by Gleb) - Optimized halt exit
