[LLVMdev] Memory Dependence Analysis: getNonLocalDependency()
Hi, I have a question about the memory dependence analysis. I am trying to use it to selectively enumerate a set of pairs of (load, store) instructions for every function by calling getNonLocalDependency() on the MemoryDependenceAnalysis. This populates a DenseMap<BasicBlock*, Value*>. I just looked up an usage of this in GVN.cpp: MD->getNonLocalDependency(C, deps); for

MemDep: Invalidating NonLocal result cache entries?
Hi, MemDep caches results for local queries and provides means to invalidate them by keeping reverse maps. Unfortunately, it also caches results that represent non-local dependencies, for which there are no reverse map entries, and thus those entries can not be invalidated. This is a problem when an optimization turns a non-local dependency into a local one.

What are some programs to use to trace spoofers?
ALL, Our Primary DNS has been broken into twice in the last week. The first time it happened I noticed the hacker used named for means of gaining entry. This guy was good at hiding his/her tracks so we reinstalled the OS and left a minimum install to see if it was done again. We logged all goings on from a secure remote machine. We got the hacker''s IP address and even some of what

C7 and spoofed MAC address
Got a problem: a user's workstation froze. He wound up rebooting, without calling me in first, so I dunno. But, and this is a show-stopper, when it came up, it came up with the firmware MAC, not the spoofed one. In /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcg-eth0, I've got the spoofed MAC address, and a UUID. In the grub.conf, I've got net.ifnames=0 biosdevname=0. But when I logged onto his

[PATCH] BUG on fsync/fdatasync with Ext3 data=journal
Hello, We found that fsync and fdatasync syscalls sometimes don't sync data in an ext3 file system under the following conditions. 1. Kernel version is 2.6.6 or later (including 2.6.8.1 and 2.6.9-rc2). 2. Ext3's journalling mode is "data=journal". 3. Create a file (whose size is 1Mbytes) and execute umount/mount. 4. lseek to a random position within the file, write 8192 bytes

No different than "BR_FDB_STATIC", which is a bug I'm aware of and intend to fix in net-next when I get the time (together with all the other combinations enabled by the bridge). Entry has ageing disabled, but

possible bug rsync-2.5.5 rsyncd.conf option "max connections"
Hello, I think i may have found a bug in the "max clients" option in rsyncd.conf [we use rsync-2.5.5; All platforms I tried (Irix-6.5.14 and various linux flavours) show the behaviour explained below] The manpage says: |max connections | The "max connections" option allows you to specify | the maximum number of simultaneous connections you | will allow to

xen and pci
hello, I''m running XEN 2.0 on IBM ThinkPad T23. Now the weird thing is that I get two different outputs from /sbin/lspci depending on whether I run 2.6.8.1-xen0 or 2.6.8.1-bproc. In particular the output from 2.6.8.1-xen0 seems to be missing those 4 lines 0000:00:01.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corp. 82830 830 Chipset AGP Bridge (rev 02) 0000:00:1e.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corp. 82801BAM/CAM PCI

[LLVMdev] nonlocal go to -- how?
The languages I'm faced with compiling in the near future have nonlocal go to statements and nested procedures. A procedure gets implemented as a structure containing its entry point and an environment pointer. It is easy enough to call its entry point and pass the environment pointer as an extra argument (rather like the pointer to this or self in object-oriented code). It's no

devtoolset-4 ageing?
hi everyone just a quickie to devel maybe. I'm looking at some bits: devtoolset-4-elfutils-libelf-0.163-2.el7.x86_64 VS elfutils-0.166-2.el7.x86_64 isn't devtool ageing? Could this be the case with more packages? regards, L.

Password about to expire -- Turn Windlows Client Password Ageing Off?
I have a Domain controlled by a (Samba 2.2.2 upgraded to) Samba 2.2.3a PDC, with unix password sync = yes The PDC (on a Mandrake Linux 8.X box) does not use password ageing, and we don't want password ageing on our network. We have a mix of Windows 98, NT4 and 2000 client workstations. Unfortunately, some of the Windows 2000 users who log in to the domain have complained that Windows is

Closing a DB
Hi, As part of my whole indexing thing, I want to move the databases around, from within the code. So, I figured that the safest bet would be to close the DB before attempting to move it. But there's no Xapian::Database::close() or even Xapian::WritableDatabase::close(). I have a global variable that holds the database, and I open it in the main(): // globals Xapian::WritableDatabase

error while writing audio data: : Broken pipe
Dear Asterisk developers, I run the same asterisk version on the home machine and on the work. On the home machine I have Slackware 10.0 (kernel 2.4.24) while on the work machine I have Mandrake 10.1 (kernel 2.6.8.1 <http://2.6.8.1>). selinux policy and httpd
I upgraded a development server last week, and it started spewing selinux errors to the log. I googled. What finally *seems* to have stopped it was a) setsebool -P httpd_setrlimit 1 b) yum downgrade selinux-policy\* This is on a 6.3 box. Has anyone else seen this behaviour? mark
