Wireless cannot ping gateway after 6.3 CR updates
I'm having a wireless connection issue with an HP laptop and a Zotac media server after the 6.4 package updates from CR repository. Nothing changed with wireless config as far as I can tell. Both have been working fine with previous releases of 6.x. Oddly, if a cat 5 cable is connected for a few seconds and then disconnected the wireless works fine and survives a 'service network

Problems getting my wireles connection to work
I have an Everex laptop (ick, but it was super cheap) that has an Atheros wireless NIC in it, but I can't seem to get it to connect to my wireless in-home LAN. Here's what I've done so far (that isn't working) - any suggestions? [root at marktop mark]# lspci | grep Ether 00:12.0 Ethernet controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. Printing
Thanks. Will try it. Have not tried it but I think the following may work: out$results<-NULL out$results$ei<-ap out$results$vi<-vap All I need is printing by returning out (unless I turn it off). And, retrieve ap and vap as needed as shown above. Guess I need to read more about invisible. On 8/11/2024 10:09 PM, Rui Barradas wrote: > ?s 09:51 de 11/08/2024, Steven Yen escreveu:

Wierd ZFS interaction with sudo?
I''ve just installed express b28 on my system. After installing, I decided to move /opt to a zfs pool home/opt. After installing Blastwave''s latest sudo, I did my usual edits of sudoers. When I attempted to execute sudo ls to test things I got this: rtfm:/opt/csw/etc:>sudo ls sudo: /opt/csw/etc/sudoers is owned by gid 1, should be 0 But /opt/csw/etc/sudoers permissions

[Bridge] WDS STP weirdness
I am doing some testing of openwrt'd wireless access points, using madwifi-ng'd atheros radios. In the test configuration, I have three devices in a triangle, each has wds links to the other two devices. The ath0 interface is in ap mode, ath1 is a wds link to one device, and ath2 is a wds link to the other device. All three interfaces (and an ethernet interface) are in a bridge (br-lan)

Hi In the following codes, I had to choose between printing (= TRUE) or deliver something for grab (ei, vi). Is there a way to get both--that is, to print and also have ei and vi for grab? Thanks. Polycom Spectralink 8002 Configuration
I have a new Polycom Spectralink 8002 and am having trouble with the configuration or the unit but I can't see what's wrong. The unit does not seem to even attempt to register with the Asterisk proxy but I can make calls to it. I have viewed the syslog from the device which it will actually write to the asterisk server so I know it can be reached. I have also run a sip debug and

PAM authentication problem: MD5 vs crypt
Here's a strange one. I have Dovecot set up on Solaris 9. The auth portion of the config is straight out of the box. Using PAM. We have most users in a dbm file which is just a series of key/value pairs: key is a username, and value is a string equivalent to a shadow entry. nsswitch.conf entry: passwd files dbm. For historical reasons, some users have a classic 13-character Unix crypt

problems with exporting a chart
Dear R helpers, I have a problem with exporting a chart (to any format). The graphic device becomes inactive and I get the 'Error: invalid graphics state' error message. I searched the help, web and FAQ but couldn't find the solution. This is my code: I chart a histogram for differences in R2 by sample size (an extract from the data is below). Altogether I have n=2500 observations

quick question re: smb.conf parameters
Ok, I know this is a stupid question but im having problems with some shares and so I have to ask: Are share parameters specified within the [global] section used as defaults for my other shares, or are they ignored? For example, if I set veto oplock files = /*.DBM/*.dbm/ within the [global] section, will that trickle down to my shares if I don't have "veto oplock files"
