How to write a BMP file pixel by pixel?
Dear all,
I open a bmp device by the bmp() function in the png package, but I don't know how to write color pixel by pixel into the file? Any help or hint?
What I want to do is to create a 512*512 bmp file with certain dots being red and others black. I have all the pixel coordinates for the red dots, but I don't know how to draw the color on the device.
Please help

Team Fortress 2: Hardware must support Pixel Shader 1.1
Hello! I just installed TF2 and Steam through WINE. However, once I started it, it said my hardware must support at least Pixel Shader 1.1 to run the game. I looked up my Gfx card online, and the specs say my card supports Pixel shader 1.4. The requirements on the box say I need a card that supports Direct X 8. This shouldn't be a problem, because I've used both 8 and 9 on Windows. Is this

Jpeg and pixel
Hi guys,
I've got tthe following question:
Why do my fonts look a bit grubby when I use the jpeg() function? I see
the pixels of the font. The quality is set to 100%.
If this is normal with jpeg(), which function would you propose me to
use instead?
Kind regards,
Thomas

Switch for pixel shader?
I haven't owned windoze in a few years and decided to dust off a few old favourite games namely Oblivion and GTA San Andreas
For Oblivion I need to turn on pixel shaders in the winecfg app
When playing GTA I have to turn the pixel shaders off because it runs very slowly
Is there something I could run in a script before executing each game (in the same script) which would either turn pixel

Pixel/Vertex shader status
Hi,
I'm just hoping someone can tell me what's going on with shaders in wine. I have a couple of games that will run, but the 3D graphics are corrupted. The games are Clive Barker's Jericho, and Tomb Raider Underworld. They both start and the menu screens work, but the 3D graphics are completely wacked out. Are these maybe examples of shader 3.0, DX9, or something? Is there much

3DMark06 doesn't detect Pixel Shader 2.0
When trying to run 3DMark06, it doesn't detect at
least Pixel Shader 2.0, and therefore refuses to run
any tests.
I've tried with and without UseGLSL = enabled in the
registry, and Pixel Shaders are turned on.
Pixel shaders and vertex shaders are both detected as
3.0 by other apps, such as the Call of Duty 2.0 start
up process.
3DMark03 has a Pixel Shader 2.0. test, which it
detects and

Solidworks: cannot find a proper pixel format
Took the cdrom from office and tried to run it on Wine (20040121). (before
sneaking a linux setup in the office...) Wine was installed on a pure linux
system, without any MS directory/filesystem/files.
The installation went without any problems or errors.
I can start the program, and then I get in the terminal the following message:

error: choose pixel format failed
Hi, I'm very new to Linux but so far I love it. The only problem I've
had so far is with Wine...I'm trying to play Day of Defeat out of
steam (basically counterstrike same engine) although, when I try to
run it I get the following error: choose pixel format failed and then
the game restarts and opts to use software mode not openGL but in that
format I only get around 1-2 fps

[spatstat] Convert shapefile to pixel image
Dear all,
I am currently working with the spatstat package, using windows and pixel images.
First:
My aim is to transform a shapefile (see attached) into a pixel image.
My idea is to start transforming the shapefile into a Spatial Polygon file:
x <- readShapeSpatial("200001441.shp")
y <- as(x, "SpatialPolygons")
z <- as.owin(y)
Given z, I want to identify each

Resolutions and bits per pixel.
Greetings Gentlefolk,
It's a long time since I 'cvs updated' my wine sources. I
did that last night, and after rebuilding I was left with
three questions.
My experience was that to run an 8-bit windoze app, I
had to run wine under an X server that was running in
8bpp. This time, I forgot to switch to an 8-bit X, and to
my amazement, the app came up under 16 bpp. Way
Cool!

WoW - fix pixel shader flicker
I just did a fresh install of Wine (1.3.1) and World of Warcraft. The WoW
in-game options interface has changed since the last time I needed to
messed with settings and there is no longer a box to disable
shadows/pixel shading. It is now a slider that can be moved to low but
not turned off. This was causing an odd flickering of objects (walls, trees,
etc.) where they would go back and forth

"wrong pixel format"
This error is following me for more than a year now. But I hardly find any
reference to it.
When I start Solidworks 97 under wine 20050419 it runs, but once I want to
make a base part (extrude a simple recangle), I get the error message "wrong
pixel format". Wine has to be killed at that moment.

- same on gentoo
