Realtime LDAP Queues crashes
Hi all, I've updated Asterisk trunk LDAP schema [0] [1] to include queues and other attributes needed for a working LDAP backend (I'll open a bug to include these changes on svn). SIP users and dialplan are perfectly working, but when I call a queue the whole Asterisk (1.6.2.0) crashes: on extconfig: [settings] sipusers => ldap,"dc=nodomain",sip sippeers =>

global sieve script

Sysvol GPO ACLs problem
Hi, We are having problems with sysvol AD shared folder in a Samba 4.9.13 AD. Has been running smoothly until recently, and we don't know how to fix it. We detected the problem trying to create a new AD GPO, it fails with the message (sorry, we have windows in Spanish, it's not literal translation): "this security identifier cannot be assigned as object owner". If we execute

Sysvol GPO ACLs problem
Hi, Hello, I have been investigating and I am afraid that our case is the same as this one: https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2017-September/210724.html As you said, we have a problem with the gidNumber inherited from a migration from samba 3.x NT4 to samba 4.x AD. I have followed your prompts, removing the gidNumber from all AD 'BUILTIN' groups, in addition to the

HTTP authentication
I would like to have a private signal, which can only be tuned by whoever has the username and password, and know who is connected. But I wish the URL could be delivered with the username and password, to open it directly on a player or receiving device... Thanks. HTTP authentication
Yes, it is the first thing I have tried, but I have encountered this problem. If I enable option <option name="allow_duplicate_users" value="1"/>, it works fine. But if set to 0, to limit one connection per user, it does not work properly and forces you to manually enter the data again. It seems that there are players who make 2 requests, and being limited to 1, makes the

Solaris nss_ldap vs PADL nss_ldap
Hi All, Any thoughts on why, while everything seems ok at the OS level (getent , id -a ) Samba doesn't pickup any supplementary groups when Solaris is configured with 'group: files ldap' in nsswitch.conf and using it's own native nss_ldap.so.1 but does when using PADL's nss_ldap? Everything else is equal. Do they use/accept different calls or could it be an

Windows server parameter equivalent to “server schannel = no”
Hi, We have successfully upgraded from samba 4.4.3 to samba 4.9.13 as AD controller with your very helpfully advice. When we finished the upgrade process, and with all servers fully working, including printer and shares servers, we did have to add the ?server schannel = no? parameter to smb.conf because of a EMC Unity NAS that was giving secure channel error on user validation. After that change

Mysterious new problem: nss_ldap: could not soft reconnect to LDAP server
Suddenly as of this morning, none of my users can authenticate to samba because nss_ldap is producing cryptic errors. Nothing has changed on either the LDAP server or the Samba server. Looks like this in /var/log/messages: Aug 11 11:19:29 edgar smbd[8394]: nss_ldap: could not soft reconnect to LDAP server - Server is unavailable Yet, the LDAP server IS available, and happily chirping away

Samba & NSS_LDAP
Hi all! A while ago I caught a discussion re Samba and LDAP SAM backend, with OpenLDAP and nss_ldap. It seems that the reason the smbd process keeps crashing (and thus losing connections) has something to do with the fact that the LDAP standard allows connections to be unilaterally closed by the directory server, and this was causing Samba to crash. Again - this is my hazy recollection of the
