labels outliers in boxplot
Dear R-users, Following is part of my data, where slide has 36 levels and block 48 levels. I have done boxplot for each slide on the same graph. There are outliers for each slide and I tried to use indentify functtion to identify outliers in such a way that when I click on an outlier or point, the points will be labelled by either their block or ID or by both but without success. How can I make

An ANOVA test that uses a distance matrix like hierarchical cluster analysis?
Hi All, I have a question which does not pertain directly to the use of R but comes from my use of R! I have data which can be described as 3-dimensional e.g. (x,y,z), with no negative component. The suggested way to analyze this data is via multivariate techniques or by calculating what amounts to a levene's test on the data and then an ANOVA on the three components if the first test is

Filling symbols in xyplot
Hello, I am using xyplot and am happy with my graph, *except* that I cannot get the symbols to be filled. I tried using bg=c("red3","red","black","lightgrey")) in both the key and the xyplot function, that that was obviously not the answer. I would like the sybols to be filled with the same colors as the lines. Does anybody have an answer? In case

on-access virusscanning on shares
Is there anyone who has (successfully) implemented a method of on-access virusscanning of files on a samba share? For Linux, I only know of Sophos and McAfee virusscanners but neither of them can scan files as they are written or read. Is there possibly a hook of some sort in samba for this? [LLVMdev] Dragonegg 2.9 Cannot load plugin
Hi, I'm using KLEE which supports only LLVM-2.9. In order to compile some c++ file which requires gcc 4.5, I built Dragonegg 2.9 with LLVM-2.9 and gcc 4.5.1 on a Linux x86_64 machine. It was sucessfully built. When I try to compile a c++ file using this plugin as below gcc test.cpp -fplugin=path/dragonegg.so I got this error: cc1plus: error: Cannot load plugin path/dragonegg.so

Debugging system load - How to start?
Hi, we run an "old" mailserver system which was set up a couple of years ago. The systme dose "everything" what we need(ed). Over the last days I noticed an unnormal increase of the system load up to 10 and lots of users told me that there mailclient connections (sending and receiving) are dropped from time to time. I was planing to exchange the server respectively distribut

Virusscanning
Hello list, I use currently a non-dovecot pop3 proxy which has the ability to scan all passing mails for viruses. And I like dovecot. I have to combine both. One (and the only) idea is to call a virusscanner a shellscript, installed as PostLoginScript. But I see multiple disadvantages: 1. it's a shellscript which tents to be slow. 2. it's called *on* the mailbox-host, not on a dedicated

Yes they all were sussessful except for the test I couldnt perform. I can see the linux icon in win neighborhood , but get server not accessible when I click the icon.
