Getting JPilot working
I am trying to get JPilot working. I have configed gnome-pilot-applet, but it is not talking to the USB connected Treo650. My Treo has my name as the user, so from the applet, I see also a userid (my UID on this system it seems). I try to put that on the Treo and nothing happens. I have enabled the Backup Conduit. I am using /dev/pilot, which shows up when my Treo is connected via its USB

Any Speex plug-ins available for usage in a Palm device application
Hi all, I'm new to the speex development mailing list, so I don't have much experience/idea about Speex. I came to know about speex when I was working on a R&D for my application on Palm devices. I've created a Pocket PC application, which is a talking phrasebook using .NET Compact Framework. In this application I'm using a 3rd party MP3 plug-in for playing my MP3 files,

Any Speex plug-ins available for usage in a Palmdevice application
Thanks a lot for your reply, Jean. >I'm not aware of anyone packaging Speex especially for a Palm device, >but I have been able to use it as a command-line executable (you need >version 1.1.x to do that). Your reply essentially means that there aren't any commercial speex plug-ins for Palm available, so the only option I do have is to write one. Actually I was thinking of that

DHCP server 4.x rpm?
Hi all, Has anyone built an rpm for DHCP server 4.x for CentOS 5 or used a Fedora rpm? Anyone using dhcpd 4.x on 5.5 and can give me a heads up on any pitfalls that I need to be aware of? Thanks in advance. ____________________________ Matt Ausmus Network Administrator Chapman University 635 West Palm Street Orange, CA 92868 (714)628-2738 mausmus at chapman.edu <mailto:mausmus

Sorting Text Frames
[Using 2.0.1 under Windows XP] There are a few pages on the internet that list equivalents of "thank you" in many languages. I downloaded one from a Google search and I thought that it would be interesting and a good R exercise to sort the file into the order of the expressions, rather than the languages. I tidied up the web page and got it into the format that it was nearly in:

ntop from rpmforge
I don't know why I haven't signed up for this list before since we use CentOS all over the place. The list is very useful and it is good for me to participate and "give back" to the community. Anywho, I wanted to post this response to a thread that was created back in November 2008 about the ntop daemon failing to start. I'm currently setting up ntop as a NetFlow &

Feature Request
How much trouble would it be to have the name of the .subscriptions file set via the configuration file, or failing that, as a compile-time option? I find that editing the source directly is a bit of a harrowing experience, particularly when doing it as part of a package management system such as an RPM or the FreeBSD ports tree. -- Jay Chandler Network Administrator, Chapman University

Convert plugin
convert_mail = mbox:%h/mail Convert plugin. If set, specifies the source storage path which is converted to destination storage (mail_location) when the user logs in. The existing mail directory is renamed to <dir>-converted. I'm not entirely clear on what this does. If someone can clarify for me, I'll update the Wiki. I'm hoping it'll allow me to convert

New Samba installation
Hi, I'm using Samba 3.0.10-1.4E.6 that came with CentOS 4.3 (fresh install) and Active Directory is running on windows 2003 SP1. I've been following instructions of the chapter 6 of the HOWTO and would like to validate the work I did. First I modified smb.conf: # Samba config file created using SWAT # from 127.0.0.1 (127.0.0.1) # Date: 2006/05/24 23:51:58 # Global parameters [global]
